Slyver: Saturday I bought myself another "bucket list " pistol. It is an absolutely mint condition Smith & Wessom Model 41 from 1978 manufacture. Gunstuff shopping IS my favorite pastime. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

Since it's Indigenous People's Day, I'm going to buy some fry bread. I may go all-out and buy a Navajo Taco. While not specifically shooting-related, there will probably be slight overpressure as a result. #staystrong

DeFlave: I have always wanted one of these S&W Model 41 pistols at least since I first shot one back in 1980, that belonged to a partner of mine. He was a pistol instructor on my department for several years and an incredible pistol shot. Anyway he shot one on the evening indoor pistol league back about 1980 at our police range. Often 40 or 50 shooters would show up for this indoor league and the Model 41 was a favorite of many shooters. At the time I worked the night shift and my rotating days off would not allow for my participation. But I got to attend about one our of five shoots and shot his 41 during practice before the league shoot. It was a dream. The trigger on his may have been worked on but the trigger on the 41 I bought is splendid as well. What a life coincidence - as he was just here for the Antelope opener (Saturday) and helped me help my 100% disabled veteran friend get a nifty Buck Antelope opening morning. We (the three of us) headed home where we downed some hot soup, hung the Antelope and headed for the local gunshop (75 miles each way) where I found the Model 41 on consignment from an estate. I had a snap cap along and made my friend try the trigger and he gave it the thumbs up and I purchased the 41. We also purchased some pistol powder but NO primers were in stock nor 17 HMR ammo which BOTH my friends are in desperate need of. Hope you are sunnin it up down Mexico way (Florida) as we got 8" of snow here today (Monday October 11th) and last night - and its still coming down - we need the moisture but Antelope Hunters are "gumbo'ed up" all over central Montana I am sure. Aren't you homesick for Montana yet? Stay safe down there. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy
After that rip in the fabric of time tore through here and all my stuff disappeared, I decided to give it all up for good and take up birdwatching.
No schitt....
Strange....
Same thing here in the mancave happened about a week ago.
I gave it all up for good also. Just can't overcome that Time Space Continuim thing.
I took up paint by numbers as a hobby.
Here is my mutant Beagle puppy. Please dont laugh. It was my 1st shot at paint by numbers. #alwaysroomforimprovement👍👍👍
I’m sure it’s just a coincidence, but there’s a new seller on GB operating as “TardisGuy”.
Tardisguy....😄😄😄😄😄
My 3 daughters were sooooo jealous of that dumb painting when they was young. Dads " masterpeice" in their eyes from when he was 6. I think my gramps Morrison actually framed it as a joke looking back on it. Which is totally feasible knowing the way he was.😄😄😄
My Mom had it for decades, then made a big show in front of the girls and me insisting I take it back in 01 when we moved back down here to FTCKY and Clarkvegas. Been on the wall in the mancave ever since. 🤪🤪🤪😄😄😄😄😄🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️

I ordered a reproduction Boer war Lee-Metford ammo (.303 British) bandolier today for a new shooting iron that I just might have tomorrow! So you will have to wait on pics!!! 😉.
I didn't buy it, but I did recently acquire my granddad's revolver from when he served as deputy sheriff at a small West Texas town back in the 50's-early '60's. Not sure what it's worth, but it obviously has high sentimental value to me.
Found a decent deal on a Tang Safety 77 in .25-06. I thought the floor plate looked bowed so I tried to straighten it and snapped it in two. So I got to buy a used one on eBay. Idiot.
I’ll be picking up a Ruger M77 RS tang safety in .358 along with 6 boxes of Winchester Silvertip factory ammo at my FFL today. I bought one of these back in the early 90’s and loved it. For some stupid reason I decided to sell it a few years ago. It will be nice having one again. I’ve got a Leupold 1.75-6 waiting to go on it. Hopefully I’ll have it dialed in and ready to hunt by this evening.
