I personally like Herretts skip line checkered grips. They are just smooth enough that wearing them under a shirt and against my skin all day does not rub me raw like a sharp set of checkered grips will, yet they offer enough traction that when gripped they offer good recoil control.
I like the Wilson Combat Starburst G-10 grips...................Have them on several guns.

So do I. Larry doesn't make them anymore. He finally retired. But, he gets a piece of the action off every set of grips the new guy sells that took over. Larry gave him all his schematics as part of the deal. Can't remember his name, but you can find him on the internet easy enough if you look up the grips. Good guy. Talked to him for about 45 minutes on the phone a couple years ago . Larry's son did not want to take over the business.
I've had these for more than 40 years and they were old when I got them. A friend that has roots in the Far East said that the grips had Korean carvings on them. I don't know, I liked the way they looked then and still do. It takes a minute to figure it out, but the dragons head is just below halfway down the grip and facing towards 5:00. The other side is carved in a similar fashion.
