"In September last year, computer models [at Harvard] suggested SARS-CoV-2 could easily bind to and enter the deer's cells. A recent survey [by John Hopkins] of white-tailed deer in the Northeast and Midwest found that 40% of them had antibodies against SARS-CoV-2. Now veterinarians at The Pennsylvania State University have found active SARS-CoV-2 infections in at least 30% of deer tested across Iowa during 2020."

The studies referenced were published by the National Academy of Sciences and the research done by scientists at Harvard, John Hopkins and Penn State respectively as I indicated in the brackets above.

Apparently, the deer don't get sick, but are suspected as likely reservoirs for the virus that will make eradication impractical.
Time for your booster fùck head.
I said this about 18 months ago. After worthless variants of covid we would have it and other worthless plagues jumping into animals and bunch of other monster of the week nonsense.

Stay tuned next week for evidence BLM riots convince frogs that SARS can cause UFO's to crash during election scandals whilst Biden is farting in front of girl scouts.
Do we wear a mask when we eat them?
Our deer at the lease in Alabama seem to be doing ok.
Don't they have special shots for that?
Mine had a .308 diameter co-morbidity.
I saw a deer the other day wearing a mask and wondered about it.

Kentucky F&W is warning not to gut your deer this year because of COVID.

Yeah, right!

I refuse to go around trying to put masks on my deer. They are on their own on this one.

About as long as a reasonable man would require to move to Plan B.
Gotta hand it to the Chinese, they apparently hit “gain of function” outta the ballpark.

And if your thinking a 'boots on the ground' sort of thing, using Cervids might just be genius...

Moose, Elk, White Tail, Mule Deer, Caribou, Black Tail.............. infect this 'herd' and you have directly or indirectly targeted the firearm toting 'group' that could give you a lot of trouble........

Alaska to Florida, Cali to Maine, they're everywhere................

But I may be wrong, I'm often wrong, it's part of my charm!!!
Next it'll be your pets; dogs, cats, rabbits....... They gotta keep that fear factor high so as to continue the illegal/unconstitutional controls...
I’m sure it’s the seams way to try to stop hunting. If you’re not hunting you don’t need rifles, right?

They’re playbook is getting easier to read daily.
I refuse to believe any of this.

Maybe something could get amongst penned deer or bait pile feeders. And if that’s the case, then they had it coming.

But in the free ranging, browsing deer populations. I’m not on the hype train. Even with severe virulent, widespread EHD, there were pockets of untouched deer
Isn't there something else to hunt?.........now let me see....
I want to know who’s out in the woods running down deer and sticking a swab up their nose to test them for COVID.
Soo that's what they mean by herd immunity.
You can find a lab to find whatever you would like found in a sample.

Ha .. good one!
My dogs are just recovering from sniffles/sneezing.

Month long wait to get into vets unless it is "life threatening" - how is one to know unless checked?

Probably Covid- everything else is, .... everything else is catching it, looks like.

Damn you unvaxxed! smile

Deer herds have been suspected in a bunch of diseases already.

Do you remember an outbreak of E.Coli in apple juice back in the mid-90's? They thought it was coming from a convergence of several factors.
1) The deer herd had grown dramatically due to farming.
2) The deer were attracted to the apple orchards
3) They were munching on apples
4) The migrant workers were dumping in the orchards
5) The feces were infecting the deer
6) The deer would dump in the orchards
7) The migrants would drop an apple or two on the ground and then put it back in the basket

The E.Coli from the deer mixed with the E.Coli in the migrants and you finally came up with a strain that could exist in both guts. In deer, it was fairly benign. In humans, it was devastating.
Why would Penn State be doing a study on Iowa deer and covid?

They sure as hell don't have to go to Iowa to find deer.
And i'd guess that Iowa has people smart enough to study their own deer.
The retards will never stop. Just ignore them.

Surprise, ...Surprise, ...Surprise --- NOT !!!

Harvard --- Opensecrets

Johns Hopkins --- Opensecrets

Penn State --- Opensecrets
Lol...our deer are so damn jumpy that I haven't been able to get an arrow off at one this year...much less cough on one.

This is just more liberal BULLSHIT.
I dont believe it, our deer this year are obviously social distancing

The study indicated the deer don't get sick with obvious symptoms, but can carry the virus. A similar example (my own analogy) would be bats and rabies. Bats can carry rabies without being sick.

They test roadkill and deer harvested by hunters, etc.

The study is actually part of ongoing chronic wasting disease surveillance. The Covid antibody test probably wasn't a hard thing to add to the existing effort that collects samples for CWD.

So I understand that PA has a hotspot for CWD, and the next closest hotspot is Iowa:

[Linked Image from cdc.gov]

From the above CWD graphic, it's not hard to see why Penn State researchers would expand their study to Iowa if they wanted a greater population for data than just what PA had.

I read in the Olean Times Herald: "Overall, 33% of the samples statewide in Iowa tested positive, and the Pennsylvania portion of the same study found 31% of the 199 Keystone State deer tested positive for the antibodies."
Is there a solution for this?

People lying? I doubt it.

If the virus has the ability to spread into *wild* deer herds, which avoid human contact, then it has spread much broader in the human population. Meaning the number of asymptomatic cases must be higher than reported.

Northeastern Illinois /southern Wisconsin is much, much closer to Pennsylvania and is a significant cervid covid hot spot, but then that area just happens to be a democrat stronghold ...

...Or... maybe there's another reason behind why they went with the cervid covid "hot spot" in Iowa?
