Hahah.
The mexi-beef comes on white plates.
Black is the 100% bonafide Angus.
Mine is. I use it for steaks, chicken, pork chops, and shrimp.
That is a fine looking steak. I like that grill
I’ve had it for probably 7-8 years.
Yep, second layer of rust just flaked off..
The grate is all that's left of mine.

You can heat Beefaroni on it..
No...never have.
We never have them cut that way when we have a beef processed.
I have never seen one for sale in town.
Still don't understand the extra bone - especially when it is priced higher than the same cut without it.

Its not his grill...it's his personality.

Lump coal with some Hickory chunks and it is hot AF. Just used it to sear today.
I've never had a tomahawk either, never even seen one in stores. Maybe its a regional thing?
No...never have.

Can't see paying for extra bone on a ribeye.
Brother has one too. He and I have used it many times for our “campfire containment “ for a two man camp. That is an awesome pic!
That looks damn good. I've never had one either.

Same here. It looks like good eats but I’ve never seen one around here either.

This market sells Akaushi. 35.00/lb
This was 12.00/lb
Looks more like a "woodland Indian" war club to me. :^)
12 bucks doesn't seem too bad.

upload image from urlRog may have to lay another tile to afford this [bleep]. 😜
back in the day I'd occasionally get taken out by vendors because I was part of a team responsible for signing a contract with them.
Only time I ever got a tomahawk steak. It was amazing.
Just gonna take an expensive dump in the morning

It’ll make a turd.
Our Weis market sells them.
Prefer bone in meat, but that much extra bone at that price?
Never ate one.
Way to tight for that.
Looks good though.
Need to cook it for another 15 mins and slop some ketchup on it

Had a buddy got one in Nashville a few years ago. I've seen tomahawk pork in my local grocery store.

Is that even possible?
Me neither. I cant afford a pound of bone.
Me neither. I cant afford a pound of bone.
What if I give it to you for free.
Did you sear it and then finish it in the oven? That's what I've had to do with them. They are so thick they are hard to cook all the way on a grille.
My favorite ribeye is a nice 1" thick boneless one. Get the cast iron pan nice and hot. Butter both sides of the steak and coat it heavy with cayjun seasoning. Sear both sides in the smoking hot pad. Put the lid on and turn the heat down. Bring it to medium rare and melt blue cheese crumbles on it just before serving.
I'm on an 800 cal a day diet right now so I should stay away from food threads. I lost 7 pounds this week and need to loose 8 more before stomach surgery on the 29th. My foodie days are over but hopefully I'll be hunting more again soon.
Bb
Finished on the smoker. No reverse sear today.
With that kind of me, you're just paying for the bone andthe novelty of the cut. That's what she said...

Good luck with your surgery, hope it works well.
Looks like a catchy marketing trick to sell double the bone with a std prime rib steak.
At least they cut the cap off.
I've seen them at the meat market, never tried one though. Looks like Mexican on the wrapper to me

You still ass-hurt Canuck boy? 😆
Looks good!
I have bought bone-in ribeyes before but don't recall ever seeing any in grocery stores or butcher shops here locally with that much of the rib bone left on the steak. All the bone-in ribeyes I've ever had the bone was cut off even with where the meat stops like bone-in pork chops are.
No doubt Fido would much prefer gnawing on a 'Tomahawk' bone, though...

I'll get over it ......... You on the other hand will never get over your state of retardation, yankee boy.
He burned you boi
Better go sit in the corner and take a break
LOL
I have seen veal chops pounded on the bone like that in high end Italian restaurants. They looked like tennis rackets.
We have the locker do cap on rib steaks, why loss out on good steak?

If I was cutting my own beef, I'd leave the cap on for sure. It's good eats.
