I think it’s our 15 or 16 day already this year of 100 degree plus days. Most of then have been 103 up to 107.

Cold Front coming tonight or in the morning.
Supposed to be a high of 78 tomorrow with chances of rain for the next 3 or 4 days.

Big massive wildfire just south of my old Hometown.
About 30 or more homes destroyed.
It’s way too hot way too early.

I am in Yellowstone the last several days. It was a balmy 17 this morning. Got all the way up to 42.
Currently 38 deg and snowing in Northern CO. Calling for 30-32 for lows tonight. Mountains west of town may get 8-12” of snow.

It was 80 deg yesterday!
Man y'all getting baked here in Louisiana it's been upper 80's mid 90's that cool front you mentioned is coming our way Sunday looks like we will be low mid 80's most of next week. Good catfishing weather

Heat is on tonight !
Its cooling down already. 95 with a little breeze.
Mighty hot so early, shopping up to be a hot ass summer. Weathers shows 60 per cent rain Sunday thru Wednesday

I hope they get rain in the hill country
Had to scrape ice off the windows of my truck this morning.
Snowed all day. We’re having another very cool wet spring.
Sunny and 55 here.

That's the "Coconut Fire" if you're talking about the Waggoner Ranch fire.

Yeppers, been unseasonably warm (hot!) the last few days.
Today was cooler here in the Hill Country and we actually had t-storms pass through dropped some well needed rain.
104 at home today. We were between the Eastland complex and Bluff Dale fire earlier this year. Everything that turned green a month ago is brown and dead now. I’m going to sell my calves and a few cows hopefully to make it through summer. I think I burnt my money putting out fertilizer on my hay fields this year.
45⁰
Been a cold and wet spring here. Ready for some heat and sun.
It’s only too hot if you live on Twinkies and Nestle chocolate milk.
Better to be hot than surrounded by people driving little cars.

No, I was talking about the Wildfire just south of Abilene. The Mesquite Heat Fire.
95 here today. Supposed to cool off a bit going into next week.
37 and snowed here in North Dakota. Hope summer comes before fall. Edk

This Global Warming stuff is real........ Snow squaws on and off here in North Central Wyoming today!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today was sunny and a blistering 65*. I don’t like it much warmer than that…10* max. I melt otherwise…

Don't have either here..............
Wasn't that hot in Big D today. Meebe 95° at most.
And the wind keeps blowing, kicking up more dust.

We have had smoke from the fires in NM. and it had made it hard to breathe.

One day i hope we can get a little rain over a few weeks that will settle this crap.

Hope the fires get put out soon.
I spent a few days in central Oregon shooting 1minutes local rock chucks and it was 70-80 degrees then coming home yesterday it snowed over the Santiam pass on the way home.
Sun's up & 28*
The high today in central Iowa is going to be 54. We have been getting some rain but we are way behind.

kwg
Woke up to a muggy 77 degrees at 5:30 am looks like a high of 93. Going to do some picking and weeding in the garden today and also get the grass cut before the rain gets here. So looks like I will be doing a lot sweating today.

;
Gonna hit 90s today.
Wayyy to hot, too soon. (We usually have high humidity)

Saw a thing the county put out warning about the heat.
I'm guessing our emergency services head cheese must be
some import from Wash-Baltimoronville.

Come on, it's hot and humid.
Not exactly something never seen before.
We were ducking and dodging for shady spots yesterday.
100°+ with a strong south wind.

Woke this morning to 50° with a 30 knot north wind that will take your breath away! 🤯
Crazy!
It's gonna be hot today here. Current temp at 9:00 81*, Dew point 70*, projected high 95*.
“I walk around in the summer time saying how about this heat.”

97 here yesterday with 31% humidity... actually very nice. Beats 95 with 80% humidity in August any day...
Summer has arrived in SWFL. Hot and Humid.
I might pay as much attention to the weather as a farmer does, ‘cept my connection is through observing the migration of birds and the nesting success thereof.

Driest spring before this one I can recall here was 2002, anytime purple martins are foraging down low it’s because there’s nothing up high where they usually forage, most nestlings ain’t gonna make it. The local loggerhead shrikes ain’t even trying to breed, hard to credit but even the mockingbirds are suppressed. Same thing with the scissor tails and western kingbirds.

Been a crappy season for birdwatching on the coast because sustained south winds originating way over the Gulf just blew the birds right on through.

I was waiting for a front to come through and stall em out, never happened. South winds week after week.

Winds off the gulf are humid and ordinarily bring rain, but week after week there’s been no fronts to set it off so all that moisture has been carried up north and east.

I ain’t looked but I would expect a kink in the jet stream is to blame.
One thing I’ve noticed about the various places I’ve lived or visited is that it tends to get warmer in the summer and cooler in the winter.
Hey BirdFugker,

People that work outside just might pay a bit more attention to the weather than you do.

LOL

Another reason I converted to Flavism. A religion, a science and a purveyor of cubanos.

Well, if they ain’t ag-related they’re prob’ly happy they haven’t lost days due to weather, it’s just been August around here since April is all.

Anyone ag-related is prob’ly worried.
High of 77 predicted for Sunday in Austin.

You don’t have any women in your life and selling portions of daddy’s land is not “supporting yourself.”

Stop lying.
Chinstructor: Snowed hereabouts yesterday and spit a little snow today while I was Varminting!
At least 20 degrees below the normal (average) high for today, yesterday and all of April.
18" of snow in several places in Colorado yesterday!
April was the coldest April on record hereabouts.
May is on its way to being the same.
Puzzling.
Hold into the wind

Oh yeah.

There’s always a handful of Uber ass holes around to share that little tidbit.

And when winter sets in they spend about three weeks announcing the temperature.
We had snow this morning up here in N.MN.

We don’t sell land. We earn our money the old fashioned way. Hard work.
Doubt that’s something a washed out LEO in 2 podunk towns could comprehend.
You might want to stick to golf and hunting iguanas. Maybe you’ll be good at one of them. 😂😂😂

I don't think I could live with temps. going over 100 too often, not to mention the high humidity. yuck!

Dunno, barn swallows are low level specialists, can turn on a dime. Purple Martins OTOH are physically the largest species of swallow in the world, which implies some degree of unusual specialization.

Actually they are high altitude dragonfly specialists which spend the winter in huge nomadic flocks wandering around the rain forest.

When the eggs hatch they’re feeding about 20g total of ravenous young, 18days later those same young add up to about 250g with food requirements scaled up accordingly and they have to feed them at that rate for another two weeks.

If they can’t pull down a dragonfly or other large insect from the window of sky above the nest about every two or three minutes, one or two or more of a brood of five ain’t gonna make it. This year they’ll do well to raise even one.

Point of interest, little barometers strapped to their backs have shown that, when they have nothing else going on, purple martins in summer here loaf around at about 5,000ft where it’s cooler.
We have the top down in the convertible on a sunny afternoon. It’s 4:20 and a blistering 63*. 😁. My kinda weather.
Ask and ye shall receive, big red storm cell headed this way, lightning all across the sky to the west and northwest.
You skeert? 🤠
I saw a mosquito this afternoon.

Think I’ll start a new thread.
Round one last hour

Err uhhh, about 4 ago

Got another line materializing behind that.

Texan Tough = a little winter shuts you down and the heat is too hot.

Perhaps we are already seeing the California migration influence.
Most likely not though, they've always been 'big hat no cattle' here on the 'fire.
46F(2 minutes ago) in the Hinterland.

They are calling for 30F tonight which might have the early corn guys worried.

Last Wednesday I saw the first mosquito.

Near a beaver pond it was.

Big full size Canuuck version.

Pricks..

Just had some nice big ole thunderstorms and rain roll through. Supposed to get down to 50 degrees tonight. Quite a change from 106 this weekend.
Around mid-night we are supposed to have a pretty healthy thunderstorm pass through with high winds and potential for hail. All of the vehicles are in the garage and I sitting here waiting. The forecast was for 1 1/2" or so.
We got an inch tonight and some really small hail.

Not much but it might make a mess out of the newer body metal types.

It is a cold night with the wind coming out of the North/Northwest at a good clip.

We needed the rain.
Hot?

In Texas?!?!

Next I suppose you will say there are no tigers in Africa.....
Well it is raining and I am hearing faint rumblings so it's on the way.
