To buy purchase gas if you go to Sam’s club / Costco / whatever you got in Idaho.


It takes 3 things….

1) your vehicle
2) membership card
3) some kinda payment card


Went to Sam’s club today. Gas was 20 cent cheaper, so I’ll fill up.

There’s a wait. No problem. Eating my $1.50 fountain drink / Hotdog combo.

30’ish white chick. The Toyota Highlander type. State university plates.
Pulls up. Gets out. Walks to gas pump.

Oh snap! Need my Sams card. Gets back in. Gets back out with wallet. Dang it. Gets back in. Gets out with purse. Rummages through. Bingo!

Forgot to pop the fuel cover. Walks back. Pops cover begins to fuel.

Only open place is opposite to the fueling side of his truck. No problem, he’ll reach the hose over the bed. Payment goes smooth. Walks awoke with hose. Doesn’t reach. Mutha#*#.

Cant hang the nozzle up, it’ll end the session. So lays it down. Pulls up 8 inches. Tries it again. Success!

I have it figured out where I can fill my bulk tank with dyed, fill my old pickup with highway and put a gallon of the good stuff in my gasoline powered air compressor... All at the same stop.

Big, I was thinking you were going to talk about this.

We dont have a Sam's club or Costco. I just pull up to the pumps, employees know my trucks so they turn on the pumps. I pump how much of which type gas or diesel I want ( I have got all 4 types at one time), hang up the hose, go inside and tell them how much I got and pay for it.

Usually shoot the bull a few minutes with everyone, see how everyone is doing and what's going on in the neighborhood. Then I'm off again.

There’s a co-op in our small town like that.
Still has a guy to pump your gas.

They’ll skin ya though. It’s usually +$.20 or .30 more.

A lot of their customers just put on it the charge account.


I’ll go their to get non ethanol. Only place in town…

I can't stand to get gas at Costco because of the stuff you are talking about Dave. I don't need to save 20 cents a gal that bad just yet.

There is one local chain I chose to use, helps my wife runs one of them.

But they are convient.

Pull up, hit pay inside, and pump.
Walk in, pay in cash, leave.

No stupid games, no waiting in line twice.

I pulled up to Costco one time and there was an older woman in front of me. She was having a really hard time getting things to work. I was getting really frustrated with her and told my wife why is she here if she can't work the pump? Then I thought that could be my mom! I got out and asked if I could help her. She looked at me and said "could you, I would really appreciate it". Suddenly I wasn't in such a big hurry. Turns out she was from Willcox and we knew a lot of the same people. Mostly I am an [bleep] but sometimes I'm not!

Some pull up at the back bowser instead of moving forward so nobody can get to the one in front without going around and reversing back, which may be impossible, so they effectively block off the whole lane.

If you really want some entertainment, go to your local boat ramp on a weekend. Bring a chair and a cooler. It'll make the gas stationers look like a bunch of pikers.

Out here Costco gas is 60 cents cheaper/gallon.i try to get there early before all the muffins show up.

Strictly speaking, half would be below the median intelligence, the average can be thrown off by outliers either way.

Once on my motorcycle I was coming off the Loop onto the access road and this woman refused to yield right of way, I had to stay far left and get on the gas to get ahead of her.

I turned to flip her the international gesture of peace and solidarity and turns out it was a friend of mine.

Amazing how instantaneously rage evaporated, I smiled and waved instead. She was embarrassed about nearly running me off the road.

I always get gas at Costco. However, the one here doesn't have diesel. For that, I have to go down the road a mile to Walmart. Costco's regular topped $5 for the 1st time a few days ago.
