Sorry, I had to laugh 😂

I hunted with a Wby 30-378 using 180g Abonds for 6 years elk hunting. It performed perfectly on Roosevelt Elk.

Here’s some information that might help.

That will over penetrate……
You don't shoot a 30-378 with light bullets. The best bet is a 200 grain Accubond and you can still get 3200 FPS with that bullet.

I never shot a light bullet in my 30-378, I really didn't like it much and sold it.

I did chrono a 300 Weatherby with a 24 inch barrel and factory Weatherby 165 grain bullets and got 3700 FPS on an Oehler chronograph. That is way to fast for any big game bullet...

You'll be in the 3,350 - 3,400 fps range

See Nosler data for H-50BMG:

https://www.nosler.com/30-378-weatherby-magnum

This data shows 3,250 fps and add another 100 fps for your 30" bbl.

I've used US869 quite a bit in my .264 Win Mag. It's slower than H-50BMG and RL-50, but is definitely more accurate.

That's said, I'd be running a mono-metal bullet at those speeds.
Sounds me like a perfect recipe for a bomb like effect on deer. Way beyond the performance envelope of just about any bullet but a monolithic IMO....
If you shoot into a head wind it will slow it down just enough to get perfect performance.
I know its alot of power but like I said got a bug supply of bullets but I do like performance I shoot lots of magnum cartridges just hadn't tried this combo I inherited alot of it bout 6 years ago and price has skyrocketed the only thing I cant find are some reasonable price 7mmstw or 7mmrum brass found stw but way to expensive can buy loaded ammo and pull bullets cheaper
Starting to sound like Kawi . . . .
Switch to a 125 B-Tip.

April fools day ballistics?

Nope, on Mike Venturino’s Oehler chronograph that he uses for his writing and testing. I would have him call you and confirm, but it would be a waste of his time…
Dumbsmell,

Your Amazing CLUELESSNESS never disappoints,in it's Magnificent Grandeur...you "lucky" kchunt. Hint. Congratulations?!?

Though in fairness to your unbridled Fhuqking STUPIDITY,"too" is in fact a pretty "big" word and it's obvious how Reality is beyond your "abilities". Hint.

Fortunately for you,Imagination and Pretend are free,so even you can "afford" to "contribute". Hint.

Fhuqking LAUGHING!.............
Speaking of "contributing" . . .

Enjoy your 80+ deg day in Paradise, or should I say "Fook Yo Keyboard"?

I got the next 6 days off - kings, halibut, rockfish, crab, salmonberries, icebergs, whales, etc. Rinse, repeat . . .
It is plum fhuqking Fascinating, just how many "live" vicariously. If only in fairness, perhaps quantify how many times a day you think about me and the typical duration of same. I'm talking an "average" day,not one of your SPECIAL ones, when your Estrogen is REALLY fhuqking flowing. Hint.

'Twere a "slow" pass, only bought (1) boat and (1) truck, which is a REAL bitch, beings I only get 29 weeks of vacation a year. Whine on. Hint.

Fhuqking LAUGHING!...............
Shooting a large magnum with 120-grain powder load, and no chronograph? I just can't see not having one for load development.
JamesWilson5: One of my main Hunting partners used a 30/378 Weatherby for many years - and I have seen him take Elk at VERY long ranges with it and its ranging type Sheherd scope.
I even watched him blow a large hole in an Antelope with it when his 270 went down one year.
He sold the 30/378 Weatherby rig - I think he got tired of the recoil and muzzleblast - he now uses a 300 Winchester Magnum for Elk and the 270 for Deer and Antelope.
I am happy and amazed you get that kind of accuracy with your Rifle - I know I couldn't do it (recoil shy!).
Keep up the good work.
Hold into the wind

Yeah I was to I normally use different powders but just got that in yesterday loaded just a few it would not shoot hornady sst in 165 but would shoot the 180 sst around half inch with 120 grains powder and the 165 accubond with 122 grains of powder kreiger 30 inch that's reason I was curious about the velocity cause I came to learn manual are not very accurate hodgdon showed 3250 fps hornady shows 3500 plus out of a 26 inch

Why didn’t you just buy a Howitzer?
