I am hoping there is a chemical way, got an infestation in my backyard. If I have to dig it all up I can, but wondering if there is another way. Roundup hasn't seemed to work at all thus far.
How da hell you get those in NM?

Does it look like this?

Not yet, just springing up. Lot was scraped for our build and the rain we have had brought it out of dormancy.

Thats what I was thinking I ran into them again hiking here in the Cabinets this past week. Need cool weather and lost of moisture
The plant is my nemesis. If you ever slip on the steeps, there will always be one to grab onto.

Wading thru a forest of them in short sleeves is also a "pleasure".

I always tell my pard bearhuntr, “Mark, don’t grab the devils club!!”
Most likely you have cow parsnip which is related to devils club. I’ll bet roundup will kill it. Spring bear food when it’s emerging
Heavy dose of round up will kill them. God I hate devils club..
Roundup is not so great on broadleaf
Get some 2,4D
Use 48% 2-4-D from the Co-op not the weaker product from the big box stores
Post up a pic. Or ask your county weed and pest.

^^^What he said.^^^
2-4-D on broadleafs. Will not affect grasses if they're present.
Crossbow herbicide
Use a real brush killer like RM43 and mix it like it says, don't cheap out on it.

Regular Roundup is not a brush killer.

It's some good scheidt Maynard!

Not as bad as a bramble thicket though, according to some easterners. whistle

Glad our usual humidity levels are below 30% with many day in single digit territory. Not much chance of it getting a foothold here!

yep. if your state will sell it
Remedy weed killer mixed w diesel fuel through a sprayer. Do not get it on anything you do not want dead. It’s been the real deal for us for years. Takes very little.
