Another HUGE front runner!

Good on ya for the honesty.

Older I get the faster it goes.

The girl that plays Maddie is just incredible.

And not annoying like the original.
Django Unchained
Big Lebowski

I remember hating DiCaprio and Pitt when I was young but loving Tarantino.

Kinda funny how things changed.

Not sure what did it, but I guess it had to be Titanic and Oceans 12! LOL

That would be Hailee Stienfeld. She’s a singer as well as an actress. My daughter likes her music, but it’s just not my taste.
One of the latest I enjoyed watching was "No Country for Old Men." But that was out , in what...1962?

How about “Hell or High Water”

Edward Scissor Hands?
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas?!
Pitt always been cooler than Depp.

Depp was only cool in Donny Brasco and The Rum Diaries.
Depp was in 21 jump street early in his career, remember seeing them shoot in Vancouver.
Who was Johnny Depp ? He was Gilbert Grape. DiCaprio was his brother Arnie.

Me too....fantastic movie

Meryl Streep was impeccable
Never seen it.

Should I put it on my list?
If you don’t laugh at “Special Correspondents” you are brain dead.

You won’t guess the story line, it doesn’t follow any previously made film, so it is refreshing and hilarious.

Ricky Gervais and Eric Bana are perfectly cast in this film…
Will check it out Shrap.

13 strong
13 hours
James Bond series with Daniel Craig
The Homesman, from 2016. Tommy Lee Jones, Hillary Swank. The young girl from True Grit has a small role.
Yeah, I'd go with Skyfall.
2000 Mules.

Can't believe no one listed Mad Max Fury Road. Pure action adrenaline ride from start to finish. The blend of practical effects, excellent CGI and INSANE stunt work make this a must see.
Dunkirk

I also very much enjoyed Sicario as well. But skip the sequel it sucked.
The Brad Pitt whoop ass scene at the end of Once upon a time in Hollywood was great! I’d have to agree that this is one of the best movies in the last 10 years. Top 10 or 15 ever.

Ron
I haven't been to a movie in the last 10 years. Maybe longer.
12 Strong
Fury?
Not the best but the highwaymen on Netflix was really good
what was the flick with Dennis Hopper as a cop whose son finds a bunch of dope that belonged to the mob, Christopher Walkens play the mob guy.
Tough question, pickings are pretty slim the past 10 years. Not sure any true classics. I will go with Zero Dark Thirty.
I'm stuck back in the True Grit days.

That was True Romance and it is a great movie but it did not come out in the last 10 years. Came out in 1993 as I recall. Quentin Tarantino wrote the script for that movie but did not direct it.

Neither pass the Siskel and Ebert types scrutiny on here, even though movies they approve of consist of liberties taken in storyline, content, and film methods used that are commonly used also.

Lots of good ones mentioned and it was very good Shrapnel. Another good one is Two Guns with Denzel Washington and Mark Walburg.
"In the Heart of the Sea". Few are in its league. There probably are some more that I don't remember atm.
Ford vs. Ferrari was excellent. You will want to kick Leo Beebe in the balls and spit in his face

That is a classic line from the movie "Lawless".
I found that out when I googled it. I remember the scene well I just didn’t recall the quote.

Lawless is another.

I really liked The Martian as well.
JW 1,2,3.
It made action came back alive.
If you liked the original, Blade Runner 2049 is really good.
Somebody mentioned Johnny Depp. I liked him in The Tourist with Angelina Jolie.

There are so many really good actors out there who really need to stick to acting instead of making asses of themselves by pretending they know politics.
TG Maverick, Cruise single handedly saved cinema with that! Got the movie room setup and ready to roll for when it comes out in a few weeks.

Stars Wars Rogue One is as good as the first 3 all day long!

It’s was the best movie about Medieval times since Braveheart, maybe better since Braveheart, tho a great movie, was based sorta loosely on actual events.

L.W.

The Sicario series are excellent movies. I suspect there's a lot more truth in those movies than we know. The Cartels are either running circles around our guys or we have some policia that aren't minding their matters, and making a little extra. I remember when cartels were laundering money, now they are borrowing money from the banks and and giving the banks the dirty money, that doesn't have to be accounted for because it's a payment. They can bring in however much they want.

It’s definitely the best movie I’ve seen on Netflix in the last year. And a heck of a lot better than the last two James Bond flicks, with At anti-gun they have playing 007 now.

Don’t know that I would say it’s the best movie in the last 10 years, though. Definitely in the top 10 though.
Higginez: Well, if most monies brought in at the "box office" is the main criteria then "Top Gun - Maverick" is right there at the very top!
It has brought in $1,403,000,000.00 (one billion four hundred and three million dollars!) SO FAR, at the box office.
And it is being brought back to many theaters as of now.
I would say its for sure in the top ten of the last ten years - box office or not.

Never before has there been so much hype for a movie before it was actually shown. It was a good movie, but the 21st century pandering to women pilots and male posturing to create the competitive image between pilots, was nothing less than sophomoric and predictable.

Ford vs Ferrari on the other hand was a much better film but will languish somewhat because it didn’t get the pre-release boost that Maverick did.

Comparing the 2 movies, I would give Ford vs Ferrari the thumbs up…

PS many movies would be much better if they would leave the gratuitous “leading lady” out of the script completely.
It will have Coen Bros. behind it, ennaway.
Wish they’d do a remake of Stagecoach
All already mentioned but:

Churchill never lacked self confidence.

Otherwise, outsitanding flick.
