"She was a comely young woman and not without prospects. Therefore it was heartbreaking to her mother that she would enter into marriage with William Munny, a known thief and murderer, a man of notoriously vicious and intemperate disposition. When she died, it was not at his hands as her mother might have expected, but of smallpox. That was 1878."
“I won’t be wronged. I won’t be insulted. I won’t be laid a hand on. I don’t do these things to other people and I require the same from them.” J.B. Books

“You know what the fellow said – in Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace – and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock.” Orson Welles as Harry Lime in The Third Man
One of my favorite lines comes from the movie, Attack, with Jack Palance, Eddie Albert, and Buddy Ebson. You have to watch the clip to see the setup as how effective the line is. It is by Palance at the end of the clip.
"My name is Gunnery Sgt. Highway. I've drunk more beer, pissed more blood, banged more quiff, and busted more ass than all you numb nuts put together."
"I know what you're thinking. Did he fire six, or only five. To tell you the truth, in all the commotion, I've lost count myself. But seeing that this is the .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and can blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question. Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?"
Damn! The above was 100% from memory, and I think I got it completely right.
There are a lot of good ones so far. Heck, it would be difficult just to pick one's favorite from the many in both The Outlaw Josey Wales and Tombstone. However, my favorite was always from the movie "The Mountain Men" from the conversation between Nathan Wyeth (John Glover) and Henry Frapp (Brian Keith).
Henry Frapp: I thought you got lost again.
Nathan Wyeth: Haven't you ever been lost?
Henry Frapp: Hmmm... been fearsome confused for a month or two, but I ain't never been lost!
My runner up is from William Munny (Clint Eastwood) in "Unforgiven".
“It’s a hell of a thing, killing a man. You take away everything he’s got and everything he’s ever gonna have.”
And make no mistake. I don't care where you come from, I don't care what color you are, I don't care how smart you are, I don't care how dumb you are, 'cause I'm gonna teach every last one of you how to eat, sleep, walk, talk, shoot, s hit like a United States soldier. Understand?

Crazy Cora, "you're the only person on this continent that would ask my opinion". Just about every line Strother Martin ever uttered on anything he played in.
(Rosita) "Have you ever kissed a girl?" (Chevy Chase) "Oh yeah, sure. Lots of times." (Rosita) "Would you like to kiss me?" (Chevy Chase) "Yeah." (Rosita) "Well?" (Chevy Chase) "What? Now? Here?" (Rosita) "Well, we could take a walk and you could kiss me on the veranda." (Chevy Chase) "Lips would be fine."

And another Caddy Shack from Rodney (that move also has a bunch) -Oh, this your wife, huh? A lovely lady. Hey baby, you must’ve been something before electricity.

I won't say I did, I won't say I didn't... but I will say any man that won't cheat at cuttin' cards for a poke don't want a poke bad enough! - Gus McRae in Lonesome Dove.
Full time night woman? I never could find no tracks on a woman's heart. I packed me a squaw for ten year, Pilgrim. Cheyenne, she were, and the meanest b*tch that ever balled for beads. I lodge-poled her at Deadwood Creek, and traded her for a Hawken gun. But don't get me wrong; I loves the womens, I surely do. But I swear, a woman's breast is the hardest rock that the Almighty ever made on this earth, and I can find no sign on it.
Del Gue:
Ain't that Hatchet Jack's rifle? Jeremiah Johnson: Yep. Del Gue: How did you get it? Jeremiah Johnson: Found him froze to a tree. Del Gue: Damn! Hatchet Jack was a wild one. He was livin' two years up in in a cave on the Musselshell with a female panther. She never did get used to him.
I can't reduce it to a single line. But my favorite passage in a movie is in Godfather 2 when Clemenza is trying to process whether Vito is crazy or he's as badazz as he is saying when he calmly indicates to Clemenza and Tessio that he intends to kill Don Fanucci.
“I keep telling these guys, it's got nothing to do with me. It depends entirely on the woman, and how willing she is to discover her infinite supply of orgasms.”
