Sorta looks like if you want one, 2024 is last chance.
Dang...I was just about to order one.
It's working for Ford. LOL
My best friend had 2 of them. I hated driving them on the highway. He liked them though. Smoother riding offroad than Ford or GM. He had electrical problems on the 2nd one that Nissan couldn't resolve. I wouldn't buy one if they were 20% cheaper than Ford or GM.
I drive by the Canton Plant on the way to work and have noticed that most of the workers drive something else.
My rancher buddy has had every make and liked his old Titan best- though to me it seemed problematic. Stupid shame to have to drop the line to tote a lie.
My cousin had one for a short time. He bought it new. Poor gas mileage. It always pulled towards the ditch on hyway driving. Had it back to dealer a couple times and to private alignment place once. Everything ok except it would pull you into the ditch. He traded in shortly after. Edk
Not in the market for a truck, but saw a 0% ad last night in new Titans. Curiosity got me to click, 4x4, crew cab, and I think cloth, deaker had 3 in stock, $54k.

I know one guy with one. MPG so bad he drives a Tundra instead. Tundra isn't exactly a miser on gas either but was way ahead of the Titan.
They don't sell many of them for sure. I have read mixed reviews on them mostly positive. Styling ,Performance most likely did it in.

Saw a stat that for Q3 of 2023- Nissan sold ~6500 of them. Q3 of 2022 was ~4800
Compared to say ~212,000 F series for Ford in Q3 2023 or ~14,000 Honda Ridgelines.

Thats pretty F....ing Bad if a Tundra beats it in mileage.
nissan hasnt made a decent vehicle in 20 years, a friend of mine even owned a big nissan dealership and he even said that. He sold it off and kept his Honda dealership.

That might be going a little far. Head of engineers where I work typically drives Altimas because they pencil out the best. He said they are no ways the best vehicle but he can get one with 100,000 miles, drive it to 230,000 cheaper than he can anything else. He drives 60,000 miles per year so it's important to him.
Nissan. Because under the logo, we make Datsuns.

Isn't that a crap shoot to buy a vehicle with 100k on it and then want it to last to 230,000? The way the majority of car owners take care of their vehicle with dealer recommended 10k oil changes and limited maintenance I can't imagine it is easy to find a suitable car.
Nissan lost a lot of its quality after Renault took over ownership.
Titan and the SUV version Armada are the two worst current passenger vehicles on the road for fuel mileage.
Never liked Nissan. We had one a Maxima a number of years ago and the darned computer decided to die and left us stranded. After that, no more Nissans. When they stop production parts will dry up likely.
I remember hearing about rear axles being an issue with the earlier models but I haven't heard much about them lately - good or bad
no shortage of horror stories about Nissan CVTs in the sedans

That's OK, its only if you carry stuff or pull stuff.
Nobody buys a Nissan (Datsun) to do that.
I have a fishing buddy who drove an Armada for 200,000 miles pulling his heavy boat and is now buying another one. That despite the fact that he had no end of trouble with the first one. Fuel tank pump (which required darn near disassembling the vehicle to get to), wheel bearings, exhaust system, and more. Plus the horrible gas mileage. It finally died completely.

If you could see his anal retentive OCD spreadsheet, you'd know he has done his homework. He loves Camry's and everything Toyota. Raves about Subaru. But he says the difference in upfront cost is so much that you never get your money back.

Uglier that first gen Ridgelines?
Their sales took a hit when their engines got a reputation for sucking pieces of the Catalytic Converter into the exhaust manifold and damaging the engines.

I honestly thought the whole partner with Cummins and their baby diesel would have been bigger for Nissan but it seems like no one GAF about it at all.
They are nothing but money pits to be avoided at all cost.
Guy at work is on his second one. The first one, the dealer had to buy it back because of electrical issues they couldn't find. Had the dash out of it 3 times.
His current one is doing OK. It's about 2 years old now.

Because the baby Cummins was a POS. Or at least the one a place I used to work for bought was. It was an endless money pit of breakdowns. And ugly to boot.
When pickups got scarce during the Faux-VID the Nissan lot in town seeming to have plenty of Titans at all times, telling.
I've had good luck with the 5.6 8cyl Endurance engine in one Titan and three Armada's (all 2015 and older). The power train has been solid, but the Titan Pro-4X had a surprisingly cheap interior, and while the Armada's are nice enough in Platinum trim, the tech is dated.
Gas mileage is best not looked at, it's pretty bad. Perhaps <= 15 mph on average.

The Mahindra goa wins that one hands down
Ran a Nissan NV for quite a few years. Drivers abused the schit out of it. Held up well.
Plenty of power. Poor mileage.
A look at fuelly puts them right at the last gen of Tundras for MPG’s. Which is where near every gas truck was 10-15 years ago.

That rear differential was a real issue when the Titan first came out. The Dealers had no answers for MONTHS .

Ah, that's completely impossible !!

Yeah, that’d be some serious reversion.

They make the small version for Chevrolet , landscaper has one and says it is one gigantic POS. This is the small model not sure if it is a NV
Bought a new one in 2005. Still have it. Batteries, a muffler and I put breaks on it. Seems like a remember a transmission cooler line was leaking fixed under warranty. Still runs great. Paint sucked and some of the interior plastics have cracked. No complaints except for fuel mileage, which is why I only drive it when I need a truck.
I bought one new in 2018 crew cab 4x4 and one of the upper end trim levels. I didn't have a single issue with it and averaged about 18mpg. It rode and drove fine but I never pulled anything more than a lawn mower trailer and a small boat with it.
Seems like they lose paint pretty quick once they get a little age on them. I have a 05 Chevy and a 08 Ford that still look great. Who wants a 10 year old vehicle that looks like it’s 20?

Looks functional. A project truck.
I had my hood and roof repainted. It’s an 07 Crew Cab 4x4 and it has easily been the most maintenance free vehicle I have ever owned. I have 170k miles on it and it runs like a scalded cat. Besides a starter and a front wheel bearing, I have had zero issues with it. It hates gas as much as Biden does but I knew that when I got it.
I drove an armada rental a few years back. Loved the 5.6 v8. Peppy and torquey. I think it was quite a but better than the 5.0 in f150’s. The rest of the vehicle was dated compared to other makes of the same year

Maybe it has been a quiet mess, but I know three guys who experienced bad premature failures - can't drive it home from here - with that particular engine.
They should stick to noodles.

Toyota is what you buy new if you trade often.
The smart boys will pay new price for one if it has 100k miles.
"Best vehicle on the road, they last 300,000 miles!"
"Yeah, and you paid almost new price, on a vehicle with the best 1/3 of its life used up."
Toyota isn't one to buy used, I used to pick up good well used Subarus, run them until
they rotted too badly to be safe. (Spray foamed rockers?😉)
Usually cost of ownership ended up around $5-700/year, just the car.
Their resale increase has ended that.

That's because the cat is out of the bag on diesels. With the new emissions crap, diesels suck......yugely. Furthermore the gas engine model has a higher tow rating.
I've had a titan xd for three years. 0 complaints.
The Titan, 18k+- hrs associated with one way or another, I passed.
