I found a solenoid got broke on my boat winch and spent a hour on the internet to no avail for getting a part fast. After several searches and lots of phone calls I call SRE and got a guy back east somewhere and after being told by several companies that we have the part but we offer no expedited shipping (WTF) it was one of my first questions. The guy says where are we shipping it to and I said Oregon, he then says hold on to a second and I’ll check and see if we have it Sparks Nevada and says well yes we do I say perfect and he transfers me to accounting to pay for it. It all took about 5 minutes. I had a confirmation of my order in less than 15 minutes and a tracking number and confirmation of the fact it had shipped in another couple of hours. Customer service the way it used to be. It was my first order from them but when I see them come up when looking for truck parts I know where my money will be going. Anyone else order from them?

Good company to deal with. They're return policy is second to none. Free shipping any order over $99

They are good,,, have rebuilt several 60's and early 70's muscle cars with their parts..

Haven't done business with them for several years, but if they are even close to what the once were they're still top notch.
Summit is a bit pricey, but their service is good. When I was building several round track and truck pull engines a year they were one of the suppliers I used pretty regularly.

I’ve probably spent over $50k with them over the last 35 years. I used to build high performance and resto engines as a side gig. They’ve always been great to deal with from back in the day when they mailed you a catalog and you phoned them up to place an order to now. Never had a problem if I needed to return something and the few times I had a defective item they immediately sent me a replacement.

Jegs is pretty good too, but I haven’t used them as much.
Have not bought from them for a while but when i did it was easy.

They will help you if you have any questions and can help you get the parts you need.

Good folks.

Well I have had some good customer service from them and I have been lied to by their staff. I order a couple of thousand dollars worth of tools from them with the majority out of stock but with dates only 6 or 8 weeks away for delivery from the manufacture. When I received my credit card bill I was billed for the total amount. Well I was not happy about that but I was told they were required by the manufacture to collect in advance, for even backorder items, for the total order amount. With it only being 2 months maximum I thought well that is not too bad.

Well it took as much as 9 months to complete the order from the manufacturer. I contacted the manufacturer and said, what the hell, you are making me pay up front and carry the cost of that money for way too long. I was told by that manufacturer that they did not require payment in advance. So it appears Summit kept my money for 9 months interest free.

Bought a ring and pinion and new LSD from them for my car years ago. Cousin used to work for them while going to school to be an accountant. He had good things to say about working FOR them.

Anybody else get stuff from Performance Automotive Wholesale back in the day?

No but I think I remember the ads. Black and yellow engine with a blower on it? PAW as a shortened name?

Great company to deal with. Here's my old red beater on display at their McDonough store. First German car to grace their turntable..............

Yeah, I bought a cam & lifter set along with a Weiand intake manifold from them back when I was 16 for my 400 SBC. Loved the catalog covers with Shirley Muldowny and Eddy Hill, among others.

You folks remember PAW? I used them a bunch back in the mid-80's when I was playing with a C2 and C3 Corvette.

Let’s wait for VarmintGuy to chime in. His 2cents is always valued.

Although I doubt he has ever spun a wrench. Just a life long couch [bleep]
