Taking a 4 day weekend. Been a long time I took time off of work for me. So I'll be working around the house and property.

Removing trees, cleaning ditches, cleaning the garage, etc
Got invited to run the hills with a guy I met while out bear hunting last fall. We both have spring bear tags but I have no freezer space. It'd be fun to get out but there's a ton of snow up high and no bears yet. Not sure if I want to invest the time yet.

Hanco: Did a distant gunshop this morning then headed back home for the afternoon start of a three day gunshow here in my hometown.
Did well both places.
Movie tonight.
Gunshow tomorrow and Sunday - raining hard now and no chance for Varminting the rest of this weekend.
Hold into the wind
VarmintGuy
Mostly recovering from 2 days of rain. Get out and pick up any downed limbs. Record cold high temps they say. Would be nice to go to a good gun show without driving over an hour.
Boiling crawfish for the gang Sunday evening.
Working out tomorrow morning, dinner with friends tomorrow night. Then Sunday morning I’m killing that long bearded son of a bitching Mississippi gobbler that outsmarted me yesterday. I have plans for him!

Mackey
Installing new LED lights onto my Gator 825i, grilling ribeyes, draining a scotch bottle.
Pork ribs on the pit.
I'm going to replace a part of the radiator I replaced last weekend cuz it's leaking this weekend..... and how come the same part on Amazon's $23 and in town it's $151 on the high end and 80 bucks in the middle.
Juggling chainsaws
Well I worked 12's all week. Mowed 1 1/2 acres yesterday when I got home @ 1300.
Had plans to scope Mrs. Featherweights new to her Kimber .257 with Warne bases and QD rings. Then head to the range and work up a load with 120 gr, Speer Grand Slams.
Got down to the shop and stated to mount the bases and the front one does not have the radius milled into it. Just flat on the bottom, WTH. Oh well sent off an E-mail to Warne requesting a proper front base.
Change plans to working up a 165 grain GS load for a 30-06 I've never shot. and sighting in a 243. At least I can go shoot something.
Kinda stinks as I was really looking fwd. to shooting the Kimber .257 Bob. Oh well it beats working.
Sihouette Match on Sunday.
Built a dozen protein feeder brackets a little while ago for a friend. I hadn’t planned on that.

This is prime time for set lines in the river and a couple neighbors called about access. Of course, gonna trade some t-bones for walleye.
Probably catch 10 trout as that’s the limit grill em up nice and black like a hotdog pull the skin and bones out and then enjoy and drop and limb a couple of 8” pine trees that are too close to the current project
Had two fingers of OGD and cracked a PBR
Cheers, just watched NC State get beat by Purdue.
(I was going for NC State)

Speaking of T-bones, wife had 2 laid out thawing when I got home. I’m thinking she didn’t have any faith on us catching fish today.

Smart woman, always nice to have back-up plan!
Fats, where ya' at? Haven't seen that Mission, which one is it?

I think it might clear up some on Monday so not much in the way of outdoor crap this weekend. Chopped some fillaree in the backyard with the shovel for a bit earlier. Some of the damn allysum crap too. To top it off, a gopher hill popped up outside the garden area, I've been after it all winter and it keeps going back underground and staying hidden. Ima get him this time though, one way or another, Ima get him.

Gonna have to look at the map. I sorta recognize the terrain there in the pic of the tree by the ocean.

Mission San Carlos Borromeo?

Pulled up 800’ of old fence yesterday, wire and all. Rolled the mess up in 100’ sections and hauled it out of the way. Today I picked up new wood fence posts and barbed wire, cleared out all the bushes, trees and vines that had overgrown the old fence. Hauled that mess to the brush pile. Tomorrow I’ll drive the corner, brace and line posts. Hopefully I’ll have time to finish the corners and braces.
Out in the garage processing some brass and loading some ammo today. Going to take my flintlock to my gunsmith tomorrow after church for him to fit a new wooden rammer for it. Will probably catch an old TV re-run of 12 O'clock High at midnight tonight. Used to be one of my favorite Saturday late night TV shows when I was a short person - a long time ago. I think all but one, maybe two (Chris Robinson and Bob Dornan), of the regular cast are all dead now, Kinda makes me feel old when I think about that. That's about the size of my "wild weekend of debauchery". Y'all enjoy yourselves!
Garden work getting it ready re-worked all my rows all done ready to plant soon. I'm out of shape wore out Sunday I'm going to take it easy no physical labor. Monday going to cut up the big limb that broke of a tree in back yard.
Carmel,

Didn't know there was a mission called that.
Passed on the bear hunting and cleaning out the storage unit so I could get all my gas and some diesel stored in there. Big whoop.

We mostly learned about the SoCal missions where I grew up.

Them Central Cali ones were too far away for a field trip.
