I have watched the local news a few times and it follows this format

all the black people killing people are the lead story, then the weather, then sports, then some consumer advocate nonsense like comparing which gas stations have the best breakfast sandwiches

The internet gives people what they want without having to hear about how [bleep] their local city is

My local TV outlets are in Louisville, which is rampantly stupid and leftist. I haven't watched local news in years and years. I just don't bother with them, or their websites. They are a pitiful bunch.

No big deal to me I don't own or watch TV.

I haven't watched local or national news on TV for many years now. Too many internet sources of news to bother with TV.

I watch local news in the morning as background noise. I only watch it until they start repeating stories which is about 30 minutes or so.

TV news has way too many commercials. With ad blockers, I can browse the news on the web without any ads. Besides, I have a hearing problem. I like to read the news since I miss too much watching it. We have the tv on wifi for Netflix and Prime. It's across the room from the nearest antenna jack and we haven't bothered to run a wire to it.

When I worked, weather, traffic, and news in that order. Now retired, it's whether I brave the traffic is news to me.

I get all of my weather in Spanish for areas I don't live in.

The local station I watch has recently changed their morning format. Fewer anchors and more area or neighborhood reporters. Looks to me are terminating or allowing attrition to cull the higher priced in studio talent. I live in an area that has quite a few submarkets so sort of makes sense.
