local tv station dropping two of its anchors and switching over to format where news reporters introduce themselves during the segment. My dad used to watch the local news for the weather.
Then he realized they have the weather on the internet

its kinda of a habit I'm in
they also have an app on firestick called Very Local and its plays the weather from the most recent broadcast.
I subscribe to Youtube TV during basketball season. At the end of the month it stops and I'll go to the app.
anyways, the point of the article is even the local news seeing a drop fo 42% ?
I have watched the local news a few times and it follows this format
all the black people killing people are the lead story, then the weather, then sports, then some consumer advocate nonsense like comparing which gas stations have the best breakfast sandwiches
The internet gives people what they want without having to hear about how [bleep] their local city is

My local TV outlets are in Louisville, which is rampantly stupid and leftist. I haven't watched local news in years and years. I just don't bother with them, or their websites. They are a pitiful bunch.

I watch local news in the morning as background noise. I only watch it until they start repeating stories which is about 30 minutes or so.

TV news has way too many commercials. With ad blockers, I can browse the news on the web without any ads. Besides, I have a hearing problem. I like to read the news since I miss too much watching it. We have the tv on wifi for Netflix and Prime. It's across the room from the nearest antenna jack and we haven't bothered to run a wire to it.
