Good news, folks. He was released today. Thanks all for the kind words and prayers. They are much appreciated.

Here are some pics:

This was Saturday morning. He's feeling better, but still obviously sick.

Mama stayed with him all weekend, except when I relieved her so she could run home and shower.

That little scab, and he could have died! I'm still shocked.

Rick
Rick,

Glad to hear he is out of harms way. Life is very fragile. One has to enjoy every moment we can with out loved ones.

God bless ya'll.

Thats great news! Glad to see the little guy is doing better, we will continue to pray for him.

A friend of mine once developed a serious infection from a mosquito bite! It became seriously infected and the doctors figured it might have previously bit a dirty animal or host. Antibiotics were given to bring it under control.

Sheeeitt! Can't imagine how scary that was Rick, didn't even know you were having those troubles, hope they have passed for good.

All this time I thought your best work was making those cool looking stocks. Sandbagger, your best work is making fine looking little men, he's a jewel, course it looks like Mom's gene pool didn't hurt that cause any. What a fine looking family Rick Bin, you one of the lucky ones. 1ak
Glad he's home! Time for a big group hug .

The best possible news, I'm sure you and Mom are greatly relieved and looking forward to seeing him up on his feet and your life getting back to normal again.

There's nothing that touches a parents heart and will bring us to our knees in prayer as quickly as a sick, injured, or troubled child, regardless if the child is ours or someone else's.

Mine are 33 yrs, 30yrs, and 25yrs old so needless to say I've been on my knees more than a few times. .......joken2
Yeah and since he is doing so well, how about a few more pictures of Mama! That boy done well in that regard! (grin) TM

That is such good news. That release of tension for Mom and Dad is so sweet when news like this happens. I empathize(?) with what you've been going thru. Glad to hear it is over. Take care and God bless.

Makes you shudder to think of what life was like - say 100 years ago- before antibiotics, doesn't it?

Glad to hear the good news, Rick.
Great News Rick!

Glad to hear he's OK. Been traveling & just saw what
happened. Take Care, Bruce
Glad to hear he's home!! Thanks for the post/heads-up on not taking the little stuff for granted too. I'm making sure to keep better tabs on my flock now.

Great news Rick. Both the wife and I work in the medical field and it never ceases to amaze us how a small an injury can have such serious health consequences. Modern medicine is amazing, however family love and prayer can in the end make the difference. Our thoughts and prayers are still your family for a speedy and complete recovery for the little guy.

you hit the nail on the head! In these trying times it
is hard to remember how good we have it compared to previous generations.......
especially the advances in medicine during the last century.

Thank the Dear Lord.

Great news Rick. Sure nice to hear of a good outcome to a potentially very serious situation.
Thank goodness for modern medicine as expensive as it is.
As las and 30G said. There is an old cemetery (from the mid 19th century) that I go look at sometimes when nostalga for the "good old days" gets heavy.

Many many three foot graves of kids that never made it to puberty. Whole famlies wiped out by yellow jack. Makes you thankful for now days medicine.

Rick,

That's great news!!! How could he not get better with all the petitions from us. Thank the Good Lord!

Thank God Rick! I can't even imagine.

First stop when he's feeling up to it should be Dairy Queen. Always worked for me when I was a lad. I think ice cream is a miracle drug.
