here in east tennessee just outside knoxville i paid $3.48 a gallon this morning,an $85.00 fill up in my silverado.
i was wondering what the gas prices are in other areas of the country.
#2 off-road diesel is about $3.50, #1 is 3.80.
#1 highway is $4.35.
$3.69 northwest Lower Michigan
Central Ark - $3.45-3.55 reg. gas. Hwy diesel $ 3.90
Prices do vary but not outrageous difference.
What's outrageous is SPECULATION causing this legal theft.
Went from $3.89 to $3.99 overnight here, up from $3.69 last week. Diesel is $4.29.
I saw $3.939 today. They said that we could jump .20-.25 cents this weekend here. Saddle up boyzzzzz.
$3.43 Premium, without ethanol
Filling everything up right now!
$2.93, but it's not like you can go anywhere cool with I-80 westbound closed for a few days this week.
I filled up Tuesday for $3.35 per gallon, today the same Stations are charging $3.55. 20 cents in two days!
$.85 a liter here. Never goes up or down. No idea back home.
$3.75 regular in central Kentucky. $4 bucks for diesel . I gave up on trucks for recreational hunting four years ago. Now use a Subaru Outback and get to where I need to go for upland hunting. If I need to go farther, I use an ATV that I trailer in.
Going into town today, I noticed that the major stations raised their prices 20 cents a gallon since yesterday...
Locally here in the Rogue Valley, two companies own like 80% or more of all the fuel stations...these two guys price fix like there is no tomorrow...
and the Stupid State of Oregon lets them get away with it, as does the local governments... which makes me assume that there are payoffs going on in the right spot also...
Regular is at $3.99 at the regular locally owned stations... and the lowest price is Fred Meyer which is at $3.68 right now...
Tonight I plan on emailing my congressmen, my Senators, the White House, the Governors office... and give them a hardy Thank You for their contributions for screwing the American public per usual...
Case in point... some mouth piece was on the TV telling how we get 50% of our crude oil from overseas... and leaving out that we also export 50% of our crude oil overseas...
around 3.85 for basic unleaded last time I filled up
little higher if you use a name brand with cleaner in it such as Techron which I hear really is good for fuel injectors
I bought gas to day for 3.20. That's up .15 since Saturday.
$3.65 to $3.75 for 87 octane, here in south central PA. Was $3.55 earlier in the week.
$3.28 /gal basic regular NO ETHANOL Rapid City SD tonite.
$3.12 and up for 87
Boise
Or it was last I looked
I paid $4.19 for #2 diesel last time I filled up. Three years ago it was going for $5.40 a gallon. Valero had to raise their credit card limit on purchases so customers could fill up.
4.05 in upstate NY today. Up 15 cents from last weekend and 35 cents over the past 3 weeks.
Over $4.00 here for 87 octane. Bear
$4.02 for diesel when I went through town today.. up 4 cents since yesterday. Been goin up a few cents every day or every other day for the last week.
Columbus OH area -

Myron
Central, Ky. $3.75 and climbing
I think diesel was $4.00 or just over
...SmokeRolls
$4.02 here in Wasilla, I'm sure tomorrow will be higher.
I hate that limit at the pump when using a card. $85 dollars isnt crap when you have a 30 gallon tank. Its a PIA to keep swiping my card.
A little ford fiesta is looking more and more inviting for the 50 mile trip into work.
You guys are in tall cotton down there. Wish I could get some of that cheap fuel.
$4.15 for regular and $4.29 for Diesel is what I saw this afternoon....
3.55ish in VA. I'm still waiting for my government subsidized tire pressure gauge. At least that what Obammy said we should do to save money on gas.
Really???
Honestly, WTF can you do about it?
$4.29 at Costco today. No big deal, if you can't afford it don't buy it.
Or? Maybe go whine to Mother Government to "Fix it" for you.
Or call Joe For Oil and have him come fill your tank.
I will get fuel in July. It is not going to be a good day you can bet on that. Crowley is telling river folks to prepare for $11 to $12 per gallon.
I wonder what $1.00 per gallon gas would do to our economy?
Nothing. Everybody makes X number of dollars and they spend it. Whether it be on gas or booze or women the result is the same. X$ In=X$ Out
Nothing. Everybody makes X number of dollars and they spend it. Whether it be on gas or booze or women the result is the same. X$ In=X$ Out
It would be nice to spread those dollars around a little instead of giving them all to the oil companies. Maybe if we could the Italian restaurant in town wouldn't have gone out of business last fall. My wife and I used to eat there about once a wk. but can't afford it anymore. I'm sure alot of other folks hereabouts can't either.
I am not saying you are wrong in your thinking but I could persoanlly not care one whit whether some business goes belly up. I have no use for fast food joints or cafes. If hungery I will eat and eat until I am full. The cost of gas is not going to change that in any way. If a business is in business only because of the amount of mad money that is in circulation, then they know going in that is a risky business to be in. For a business to be solid it has to be one that will survive a bad economy. I tailor and keep my stock to what people have to have and not what they want to have.
Cheapest here is ARCO @ $4.15 higher in LA
$3.69 here in NW Indiana, where I live. 25-30 miles up the road, its 10-15 cents higher. That's 87 octane.
maddog

Snake
In Australia its around $1.45 a litre or about $6.25 a gallon.
$3.69 northwest Lower Michigan
Same here at the tip of the mitten. It took a twenty cent jump up on Wednesday afternoon. Once again we consumers take it up the tailpipe.
My BP stock is doing well. More than offsets the cost of gas.
In the Northern Virginia area, regular is about $3.79/gal.
3.57 in the Ft.Campbell Ky-Clarksville,Tn area
here in east tennessee just outside knoxville i paid $3.48 a gallon this morning,an $85.00 fill up in my silverado.

I want gas prices high enough to see environmentalists hanging from tree's
Filled up the other day $3.01.
So far it hasn't hit so. Idaho. I just bought some at 3.09. We always behind the rest. When (or if) it comes down, it'll stay up here a lot longer.
In Ventura County California, regular is $4.20 a gallon and highway Diesel is $4.40 a gallon. To fill my 40 gallon tank on my gas Chevy is $160.00.

Probably by the end of the weekend the rest will follow suit.
$3.64 on I45 off the highway at a no frills, gas only place $3.53.
apparently it won't be long till there are rickshaws on I-85 north, as a way to cut transportation costs.
sorry, i-75 can be included also, if that might make the world a better place.
$4.30 at Costco today when I topped off the Harley.
$3.61 for the cheap stuff.
$3.24 this afternoon at the local stop-n-shop for the "low priced" stuff.
$3.70-$3.75 for reguler gas around here.
State + Fed tax on a gallon of motor fuel is 57.55 cents per gallon here.
Mike
5.12 bought in bulk. Over 6 at the pump.
Went from $3.12 to $3.25 in about three days
Idaho
yep new pricing on the way - $1.00 a quart - still cheaper than oil
I tailor and keep my stock to what people have to have and not what they want to have.
Obamanomics.....
I'm thinking it will be below $3.00 right before BHO is reelected.
I'm thinking it will be below $3.00 right before BHO is reelected.
Maybe but it was below 2.00 right before the worthless POS took office.
Paid $3.53 here in the Twin Cities last night.
3.69 and rising in Rhinelander, WI, 3.59 60 miles south. Interestingly, if I go to neighboring small towns, premium is 12-15 cents more than regular, here it's always 50 cents.
87 OCT/REG $3.75 (lowest) to $3.81 (highest) in Greenville NC.
$3.85- $3.89. I think I need to mow a spot out in the back of the pasture and set it up as a campsite because I don't see being able to afford pulling a camper this year with $4.00+/gallon gas and 8-10 mpg towing.
$3.66 to $3.84 per gallon here.
$4.25 (cheapest stations) here and goin up from what I can see.
I've got a theory about gas prices being way more tied to politics than real world events.
Oil companies have a political party that butters their bread, what they do furthers that party's agenda. That party would like people's minds to be on oil and gasoline prices rather than on other things they may get beaten up over during the election year.
Wallah, gas prices jumping when profit margins are at staggering highs.
I've got a theory about gas prices being way more tied to politics than real world events.
Kind of, but mostly dependent on the value of the dollar at this point. Connected to politics in the fact that this administration has done all it can to ensure the weakness of the dollar.
$3.85- $3.89. I think I need to mow a spot out in the back of the pasture and set it up as a campsite because I don't see being able to afford pulling a camper this year with $4.00+/gallon gas and 8-10 mpg towing.
I went to St. Louis to the East-West Shootout benchrest match when gas was $3.95 a few years ago in a motorhome that got 7 mpg. Fuel cost me over $600 there and back to Greenville.

Ouch!
Just cleared $4 a gallon locally, this morning for Regular...
reading the rest of the thread, we still get burned here on the west coast... price fixing, lack of competition... government getting their cut to look the other way ( corruption)
Crap never ends... I've had no love or trust for oil companies since the fabricated 1974 'fuel shortages' when tankers sat at anchor off the east coast 3 and 4 months waiting to drop oil, while the oil companies manipulated prices... and the federal government did nothing to protect consumers...
3.75 - 3.80 for regular in Western NC.
4.20 gal. here in Fairbanks
Since I use an app on my phone to track mileage, it also stores all the info like cost. Sometimes I fill it just to top it off, other times it's empty. Either way, here's my gas prices around Boise, usually from the same station.

I am getting 15,000+/-BF of dimensional lumber for my Papa Bear build...
I was a bit shocked at how low the prices were on 18s. Just under $0.60 BF on KD dimensional lumber.
Pro Desk guy called it a "rare honeymoon point in time" and concurs the future is probably going to get rough...
I have bid on stuff (sawmill auctions) the last few months... it is really strange to see so many auctions... guys selling out and quitting. Seeing incredible resaws selling below scrap.
Point being... I reckon fuel is in a "honeymoon period" as well.
Could be wrong... but don't thinks I is.
