$3.85- $3.89. I think I need to mow a spot out in the back of the pasture and set it up as a campsite because I don't see being able to afford pulling a camper this year with $4.00+/gallon gas and 8-10 mpg towing.

$4.25 (cheapest stations) here and goin up from what I can see.

I've got a theory about gas prices being way more tied to politics than real world events.

Oil companies have a political party that butters their bread, what they do furthers that party's agenda. That party would like people's minds to be on oil and gasoline prices rather than on other things they may get beaten up over during the election year.

Wallah, gas prices jumping when profit margins are at staggering highs.

The major difference between belief and fact is those who believe something have come to a conclusion no facts will contradict. Well informed people are open to new facts that oppose their beliefs. That also defines an open and closed mind.

Kind of, but mostly dependent on the value of the dollar at this point. Connected to politics in the fact that this administration has done all it can to ensure the weakness of the dollar.

I went to St. Louis to the East-West Shootout benchrest match when gas was $3.95 a few years ago in a motorhome that got 7 mpg. Fuel cost me over $600 there and back to Greenville.

Just cleared $4 a gallon locally, this morning for Regular...

reading the rest of the thread, we still get burned here on the west coast... price fixing, lack of competition... government getting their cut to look the other way ( corruption)

Crap never ends... I've had no love or trust for oil companies since the fabricated 1974 'fuel shortages' when tankers sat at anchor off the east coast 3 and 4 months waiting to drop oil, while the oil companies manipulated prices... and the federal government did nothing to protect consumers...

Since I use an app on my phone to track mileage, it also stores all the info like cost. Sometimes I fill it just to top it off, other times it's empty. Either way, here's my gas prices around Boise, usually from the same station.

1/14 $2.94 (aka 2.939 - I always round up)
1/20 $2.99
1/30 $3.05
2/10 $3.03
2/18 $3.09
2/27 $3.27
3/02 $3.51! Up 24 cents in four days??? Nearly 50 cents in a month? Oh yeah, gas prices aren't a problem... if you don't drive.

At least you got to enjoy low prices for awhile. It never went below 3.50 a gallon here in NY in the past year. Seems we get bent over and [bleep] hard on everything here. Man my ass is sore !
