With GW's talk of diversity and cross sectional representation it will be a Lady and most likely a Lady of color. That's about the only way he can or will be able to launch past the Demos and confound them with their own words and doctrine.

IMHO GW already stole a march on the enemy. When he changed Roberts' nomination from associate Justice to Chief Justice, the dems on the judiciary comm were already flummoxed and saying favorable things. Now we have a Chief Justice first time at bat without major problems and he has a great deal to say in setting the course for the Supreme Court.

Understatement ! I always hated Little George simply because he was a Bush. I learned about the Bush clan way back when Daddy Bush tried to murder Reagan and lived in Tallahassee during !Jeb. The insider corruption in Tallahassee during !Jeb was over the top ! I knew that if Roberts was a Bushie then he was corrupt deep state in his very soul.

I participated in a virtual class reunion with him via Zoom last October, and he was the same old Steve. I checked in with him via e-mail after the 2020 Presidential election to make sure that he had not jumped off a bridge, and he was still with us then.

Be interesting to hear his "hindsight" on Roberts. Pretty much another Bush failure.

During the conformation hearing at the time Schumer asked Roberts about ruling on the Law and his reply was well he'd rule strictly on the law. I thought that was the wrong answer altogether. We have plenty of insane laws. The correct answer for me would be I would rule on the text of the Constitution. Kavanaugh, Gorsuch and Barrett are all supposed to be textualists but so far have completely ignored the Text of the Constitution so I'm pretty sure that there is nobody currently that could be picked to sit in judgement that would Honor the Constitution. It's all about politics. Bush stated that he would keep "the balance" of the court which is completely insane.
