Lets be real.
Hillary is a lone women sanding up to both Trump and Sanders, and a huge array of right wing extremists such as are typical on this board. Many on this board have insecurity problems with truly powerful women.
Hillary will likely be our next president and stake her place in history as the most powerful women the planet has ever known.
As a hunting fanatic and gun nut, Hillary gets my financial support and my vote.
Read about your type Walter, paid trolls hired by the DMC to cruise social media sites and create posts in support of hiLIARy. How well does it pay?
Absolutely not true. I was actually a registered republican up until this year and still am on economic issues.
Good lord, do you really think that anyone believes you were ever registered republican, hunting fanatic and gun nut?
No, CV540 has you pegged correctly paid DNC troll.
Again, I am not paid in any way or involved with any political group beyond registering and voting.
I live in western Oregon and am an avid hunter. Each year I start hunting when Oregon archery elk season opens in late August and continue until upland bird season closes the end of January. In addition to Oregon, I also get deer and elk tags for Montana each year. I am successful at filling most big game tags. For upland birds, I hunt a lot for chukar, grouse, and pheasants. In total, I hunt on average 80 days a year since I retired three years ago. The meat component of my diet consist almost entirely of harvested game and fish.
For guns, I have several quality bolt rifles with a Tikka 270 WSM as my go to gun these days. For upland I have a Benelli M2 plus a couple Rem. 1100. I also have a multitude of 22s and handguns. For the hunting I do (as well as home defense), I have close to what I consider the optimum guns needed as well as multiple backups for each category.
I support Hillary for several reason. First, most of my hunting is on BLM or USFS land. There is movement to privatize this public land – that is what the Bundy stink at Malheur Refuge was all about. Consistently, Democrats are more supportive of keeping public land public while Republicans give consideration to privatizing what is now public land. If it gets privatized, I risk losing my ability to hunt. I support the democratic candidate because they will not reduce the land available for me to hunt.
Second, I support Hillary because Democrats tend to be more supportive of strong environmental protection. Good habitat is essential to produce the wildlife I love to hunt so for that reason I support the Democratic candidate.
On gun rights, I have zero worries that Hillary will in any way infringe on my right to own the full arsenal necessary to do all the hunting and personal protection I want. She could restrict military assault weapons or try to make it more difficult for “at risk” types to own guns, but that will not affect me.
Also, as a recent retiree, I feel my retirement assets (and ability to afford to go hunting) are most secure with Hillary. Trump is in some ways intriguing, but who really knows what he might do to impact retirees like me.
In conclusion, for completely selfish reasons revolving around my desire to hunt public land in the western US, I see it as very logical to support Hillary.
