Yes, a bump key works pretty good too. Lock are to deter lazy or stupid crooks.

Just reinforces the old saying that locks keep honest people out.
Lick won’t keep a real crook out!
We need more gun control !!!!

...keep honest people honest.
There are "bump proof" locks on Amazon. Just bought a Master bump proof lock for my cabin. I suggest you change all your locks to bump proof models.
I was told by police, Make your place harder to break into, than the next one.

Masters have always been easy pickers. In a residential lock, schlage is hard to beat, but for a few bucks more, a Medeco commercial deadbolt is serious business.

A while back I had a pretty nicely set up pickup...one morning I got up only to find the back window smashed out and the column punched...I have no idea why they didn't drive off with it, but the HP that took the report told me he leaves his unlocked and with the key in it...
Those lock pick guns are like $15.

I wouldn't want to get caught by the police driving around late at night with that, a few screwdrivers, and a pry bar though. (Unless you are locksmith) smile

Possession of burglary tools are felony offenses in some states.
i was just surprised you could buy something like that, had never even heard of one before.

Back when I was a cop, we used to catch a few of those theivin' little schidts with those. Most of them had the pick part broken off, so you know they at least tried to use them.
You can get them at Cheaper Than Dirt along with regular picks. I have had one for years and keep it in my tool box for when I can't find the keys to locks. I have never had them not work. I use it around my own house or at my neighbors house. A really handy tool to have when you need a lock opened.
The 4 number brass(?) combo master locks are easy. Just need to grind a hacksaw blade or thick feeler gauge.....

Not worth the money. Just get a pick set and learn how to use it or better yet learn to impression.
