Happened near home this week. Lots of bullets flying at close range. Surprising nothing was hit. Thought the driver of one car was going to catch a few bullets as well. Wonder if the bad guy had any training. Shooting while moving forward to keep the cop on his heels. Or maybe he was just high and naturally aggressive.
"Can't believe nobody was hit because they were close. Surprised the cop didn't connect with the training he must have"
Yah, that is why I get a chuckle when someone on here says " well I'da just pulled my Glock 37a with polysights and put one between his eyes while he ran off with my chickens'"
Yeah looks like the cop was behind his door because of glass flying not windshield then must have dropped back behind the car. I wonder why he dropped back leaving the safety of the car. Think the criminal did way more shooting.
Turned himself in. He let his girlfriend out and she surrendered to the cop. Illegal alien, go figure. The video was shorter on TV, where I saw it first. The guy at least practiced and watched a training video with his grip. Good thing glass deflects bullets.
Don't cops have shotguns in their cruisers anymore? Be the first thing I'd be grabbing if I saw a guy leaning out with a gun in his hand. But then I ain't never been nor wanted to be a cop.
Sure would have been fun to watch the guy in the white SUV if he had seen the suspect shooting at the cops just ram that door and crush him right to his door frame
Cop in car seat, guy gets out and starts popping. So the cop was supposed to get out of cover? and then somehow get his shotgun? Bet none of us done anything close.

Unreal. Cracker with a futkin illegal metskin. Hot dayom.
Why the he'll did the cop not ask the woman for the guy's name? Seems that would be a good place to start the description. She was willing to give information.

Because the name he was using with her was probably not his real name. What a chit show.

And what kind of car for cryin out loud. Blue silver sedan ain't much to go on. How about an address? How about any fuggin thing?
Did you see pics of his car? Windshield shot out so bad you couldn't see through it, maybe radiator, tire. And lots of adrenaline pumping. Second cop on scene made him slow down and checked him for injury.

No, he didn't turn himself in. Got into another shootout and prolonged chase with other officers before he gave up with a GSW to the shoulder.
Best maneuver of the whole deal was that white SUV back up job.
Indeed!

Interesting you said that - 'cause I thought the same thing... At the same time, with a cop shooting in the same direction, backing the hell outta there was probably the best choice...
Cops better start carryin' a few more loaded magazines.....
I'm surprised that SUV didn't catch a bullet though. Who knows where they were all going.
The SUV caught a ton of bullets. Go to the Washington County Sheriffs Facebook page and they posted the shooting and the SUV afterwards (around 2:21). That SUV is riddled with bullet holes.
The world's gotten too crazy to ask cops to go out into it with nothing more effective than a sidearm. A 11.5" AR15 with a 30 round mag would have stopped that situation as soon as it started.

He radioed in the plate number long before the guy pulled over. That's a clue and a pretty decent identifier. It either comes back to a different vehicle because the plate is stolen or you get registered owner info right away, which leads to more data. He also relayed direction of flight. There also may have been a bullet hole or two. That's plenty enough for people to go on.

I’d like to see you deploy an 11.5” AR from a gun rack in a timely manner.

I'm glad it had a happy ending and no innocents were hurt. The girl, who was not threatening anyone was in harms way. I don't think any of us could say we'd have done any better in that situation. It could have turned out a hundred different ways, mostly far worse than it did.

Nah,...no gunfighter here. Just somebody with common sense. Rifles are much better fighting tools than handguns.

Mr. MENSES got a pic of his 11.5" M4 and vehicle rack?
Or were you just talking out your ass? Again.
Is your life truly so boring that you've got nothing else to do besides attempting to bait people into a pissing match?
You're obviously an azzhole. But you're a boring azzhole. You're weak ass ramblings are unworthy of even a pissing match.
Besides,..you've told so many whopper lies on here that anything you say is just plain irrelevant. You'd probably have more success if you picked somebody else on the forum to follow around. I can't be bothered with boring liars.

Bristoe, where do you have your release switch mounted? Is it going to be visible for anyone to see or is it going to be in a hidden spot or disguised button placed under something like your keyboard, or maybe just stuck somewhere by the motor pool guy? How do you handle your rifle so it or the sling it doesn’t catch on the console stack or other gadgets in your vehicle? Are you going to thread it out the door or window, or get out of the car first or try to do everything at once? Are you carrying it in the bracket with one in the chamber or do you have to rack it? Where do you rack it? Do you rack it with one hand or do you need both of them, causing you to sequence how you do things? Do you inspect and reinsert the magazine to be sure a round chambered? Do you have a dot sight on your gun? Is it always on or do you have to turn it on? Is it one that automatically turns itself off after so many hours?
Look at that bad guy. At what point in that process are you going to allocate the time to divert your gaze and get your rifle ready? While you're driving? When the bad guy opens his door? While rounds are flying your way? BTW, where is the deputy when all this starts? Starting to exit his vehicle? Partially or totally out of the vehicle? (Look at the direction where the perp first shoots.) How many seconds does it take you to get your rifle ready to fire in the direction of the bad guy if you don’t bobble anything? Look at the running time on the video and pick your time.
You should consider posting your thoughts on PoliceOne.com’s Facebook page. They have a thread running on the incident.
Cop should have layed down behind his car got ready with his pistol and when the time came shot the bad dude in his feet or lower leg area. I think the cop was scared to do anythingand it was more about the liability problem maybe ?

So,...for today I've got LeroyBeans, deflave, and NVmiker following me around the forum making inane comments.

I'm talking about the SUV that pulled up next to them and then did the great backup job. Obviously the cops vehicle caught a lot of bullets.

I have to say it was one of the best dashcams I have seen of a gun fight. I find it odd that the guy started shooting and seemed really composed especially when he advanced to the front of the cop car. I am sure it was the real deal but it did seem kind of staged. I thought the cop lost it and that illegal seemed to really be focused on killing the cop. At that distance no hits from either side????
Lol you are still pissed over one of the all time greatest April fools joke? Majority of people on here were hoping it was true, they would finally have something deflave to hold over his head. In typical 24 hourcampfire fashion..

Is that why Mr. "It jus da innanet" sent me all those late night, vodka induced PM's?
You do a good job of bullschitting people on here but you're really just a chick in dude's clothing.
I could recall Bigstick’s favorite quote: “ Some can read sign “...... but I’ll just say that it’s pretty much common knowledge among those of us who have been members for a long time.
Flave has been surly because he knocked $5K off the price of his house in Havre and it's still priced $40K over market. Winter's coming on which makes real estate sales slow,..the interests rates are rising which will bring down house prices,...and his wife is going to have to pay rent in Florida for a long time before he can sell his place for $40K less than his wife wants to get for it.
He might even have to break down and get a job instead of sitting around the house drinking beer all day and being an internet dog pekker gnat.

He's the one that listed it. I assume that he put the information out there because he wants people to look at it. Zillow is nationwide.
Who knows? If the price gets down to where it should be, I might buy it.

Well, that's even more interesting because Lil' James claims I'm a stay at home dad.
So I guess we need to determine which one of you gossiping kghunts is right?

You all need to go to Reba MaCentire restruant on state route 80 and hash this out over some sweet ice tea and corn fritters. Oh and deep fried Twinkie’s..
So,...you end up with what this forum has become,...a gathering place for abrasive midwits and the people who attempt to have conversations while weaving around them.
I've seen enough out of these forums to recognize a pattern. Deflave and his "posse" has knocked it down several notches in terms of interest.
It still has some interesting conversations, but way too much of it is devoted to idiotic one line posts from midwits.
Deflave is, at best, a midwit. Lots of midwits out there, but deflave doesn't realize that he *is* one,...and his mouth is too big to hide that fact.
Other even lower midwits on the forum confuse his idiotic behavior with humor and encourage him to further demonstrate it.
I tell you again.... Travis has changed. He used to be funny and didnt pick and choose his targets.
He obviously likes being high profile but acts surprised that some of the members he has insulted know heir way around the internet and have posted private stuff about him. I’m about as internet ignorant as they come and nobody on this forum is important enough to me to give me an incentive to delve into their personal lives...... but I can read when others post stuff.

Nothing private about anything I've said. He intentionally chose to put it in the public domain. I just wanted to rib him about it because he directed his azzhole routine at me.
He started targeting me when I called him out about that big lie he posted a couple of years ago.
Ever since then I can count on deflave to follow me around the forum taking his stupid chit at me,...and his dumbass friends backing him up.
He's found some other people to spew his stupid chit at also.
Cop needs to re-think the gym/range time equation. I won't mention his adrenaline, poor automobile identification, and perp description skills.
The perp did a very good job of concealing his body when at the car door, the used the cruise to shield himself in the same way the cop was. It was cat & mouse. That guy had training, though for sure.

My guess is, the bad guy comes from someplace where throwing bullets back and forth is a regular occurrence. He seemed fairly cool about closing the gap between himself and the cop.

It’s ok tiger... go fire up that tractor and go pull some stumps or something.. afterwards head to dollyworld and get yourself a piece of pie.. As I said earlier you are still upset he wasn’t going through rehab.. what you thought you two would be AA bros on 24 hour or something? Dave, yeah Bristoe I have that urge for a drink, it’s ok bristoe I’m here for you. Remember the 12steps, we are taught in AA.. he let’s meet up at Reba’s for pie and coffee, sounds good bristoe I’m on my way..
Never have worked in law enforcement myself but I have done some work transporting and physically handling large amounts of cash that required carrying a handgun on the job. It dawned on me real soon that even with carrying a sidearm, the bad guys always have the option to draw first blood, whether pre-planned, snap decision or just on a whim.
An old friend, now retired policeman, former Vietnam combat vet, 101st Airborne Infantry, stopped a car one evening for a minor issue, taillight out or the like. He walked up to the driver's window with a friendly smile his face, planning on simply letting the driver know but wound up getting shot in his guts by the driver of the car. Turned out the driver was a wanted criminal on the run.
There's nothing more pathetic on here than a deflave sycophant.
Wrong. Nothing more pathetic than some douche who has to chase around the internet looking for information about a man's sale of his home, pondering what that man's wife's thoughts or concerns are about the sale of that home, while publicly criticizing the asking price, and continuing to attack the man in general terms.
Nothing more pathetic and ckunt-like than that, you phugkin pussy douchebag.
Now, set that bottle down. You started too early today.
In fact, this thread is an excellent example of midwits disturbing a decent conversation.

It was a third degree series of questions over the fact that I said that cops should be armed with rifles these days.
Basically, it was an invitation to engage in a pissin' match over nothing.
But,...eventually, I did allow myself to get baited into a pissin' match. It takes more than it used to however,...and in the old days they were often entertaining pissin' matches.

If you don’t think most cops have access to a rifle in 2018 you need to get out more.

Deflave is a buffoon. He has no sense of humor at all.
Not every yankee is an azzhole. I know some good people up north. But yankee azzholes occupy a niche. They're all very similar,......loud mouth,..abrasive,...dumb.
My favorite quote from the resident gunfighter emeritus... "I exude the aura of a surly hillbilly who keeps a .44 Special handy and as a result the goblins keep their distance".

As I wrote in an internal Fox memo, leaked and widely disseminated, I declined to renew my contract as Fox News’s strategic analyst because of the network’s propagandizing for the Trump administration. _______________________________________________________
As early as the fall of 2016, and especially as doubts mounted about the new Trump administration’s national security vulnerabilities, I increasingly was blocked from speaking on the issues about which I could offer real expertise: Russian affairs and our intelligence community. I did not hide my views at Fox and, as word spread that I would not unswervingly support President Trump and, worse, that I believed an investigation into Russian interference was essential to our national security, I was excluded from segments that touched on Vladimir Putin’s possible influence on an American president, his campaign or his administration.
I'm talking about the SUV that pulled up next to them and then did the great backup job. Obviously the cops vehicle caught a lot of bullets.
