My 05 f150 is getting close to 200,000 miles and starting to worry some. Got a little "ticking" that has me concerned. Had one shop tell me it's the cam phasers and said it would be too much to fix in their opinion for a motor going on 200,000. I'll be getting a second opinion soon. What is the highest milage you've gotten out of your trucks before they either got an overhaul or gone to the pearly gates? Said compression is great, tranny is very good.
I have an 04 F150 that just turned 200k. It ate a lobe off a camshaft 3-4 years ago. We replaced the cam and it's still ticking along
230k on a '96 Dodge Dakota. Its not my daily driver anymore (switched to 2013 Ford F-150), buts it still runs.
My 2001 Ford Ranger with the 4.0 have 194,000 miles. 160,000 plus were mail route miles.....the worst kind. It still does not use any oil.
I have 225K on a 2005 Lincoln Aviator with a 4.6L V8. I bought it used at 56K and have run Mobile 1 5W-30 High Mileage with 6K change intervals for the last 156K. All original and runs fine. If you're not running full synthetic, you might want to switch. If you are running full synthetic, I don't know what to tell you.

My 2003 has 140K I use Ford Semi Synthetic oil.
It has a 5 speed manual 4.6 V 8.
I am going to run it until it pukes.

Had 196K on my '95 5.0L when I sold it. I replaced the plugs twice and needed a new AC compressor, that's the only repairs under the hood. Rebuilt the 5spd tranny @ 180K. Truck never ever left me stranded. The day I sold it I'd have driven it anywhere.

Current truck is '11 F250 w/6.7L diesel and 140K and again, I'd take it anywhere as it sits. I'd not think twice about hooking up 10K # and setting the cruise @ 75 assuming the road wasn't snowy/icy.

My wife's (used to be mine) 2004 Tundra has 290k(ish) on it now. I bought it new and due to my experience with it, I bought a new 2014 Tundra and have 70k on it now. I used to be a Ford owner but I think the 2014 Tundra will take me to the grave and maybe the 2004. There are a couple of the Toyota trucks around with 1+ million on them.

One of my Brown UPS trucks.......my best one I received it with 129 miles on it...

Drove it forever.......IIRC it was in service for 700K miles......or so.....(prob +)

12+ years & an average of 200 miles per day.....mid- late 90's

Freightliner chassis & a Cummins 5.9L w/manual tranny...15 mpg daily

Then I remember a POS IH Powerstroke.......what a dog..........

Retired with a 5 cyl Mercedes diesel & automatic......sumbitch revved out at 72 mph.......

After 27 years...my estimated miles were 1.3M......accident free.......
Daily driver is a '95 F-150 with the 4.9 and 5 speed. 253,000+, all that I've EVER done to the engine is one set of plugs, distributor cap, rotor and valve cover gasket. Leaks a little from the rear seal. Use whatever conventional name brand oil that is cheapest except no Pennzoil ever, Wix, Purolator or Motorcraft filter. Oil change every 3,000 miles.
395k on my 99 Dodge Cummins. Replaced fuel pump at 150k. Water pump around 300 k.
A 2004 F350 Crew Cab manual everything 6-speed, 4x4, long bed, diesel. Presently at about 177k on the rumored to be crappy engine. Highway mileage consistently around 21 to 22 mpg if I keep my foot out. About 18 mpg in Montana. Don't do much heavy hauling, but I need it for daily office trips. Still going strong and will run it till it dies or I get an insane offer.
had a 1970 f100 in high school with a 390 r2 barrel carb 4.10 gears that would beat any stock chevy 350 in the quarter. had well over 200,000 and i had to put a quart of oil in everyday.

Had a 4.9L in my 79 F150 with a 182K on it when I sold it, an 1987 F-150 with 4.9L with 195K on it when I sold it never inside either motor. Local UPS guy told me that UPS run them in the brown vans and put 250 k with 0 to damn few issues on them and just replaced them with a new crate motor, just a maintenance std. Neither used much oil either. My 95 Tacoma I bought in 04 had 76 k on with a 5 spd and 2.7L 4 cyl it has 244K now still runs fine and uses no oil but needs a clutch. I like Fords but Toyotas operate in a league of their own. MB
Curious what they quoted you on cam phasers, last I read it was about a $1k repair. I'm only at 108k on my '10 3V 5.4. An uncle has an '01 2V 5.4 with over 320k miles on it and nothing else other than regular maintenance.
Had a 1976 F250 with a 300-6. It had 180,000 when I bought it and I put on another 130,000. I did rebuild the motor at around 225,000 and found it had 30 over pistons already. I had to go to 60 over. It was still going strong when I traded it in on a brand new 1990 Mazda B2600I. I ended up with 251,000 on it, and still on the original clutch. It was running great also. My current rig, a 1995 F350 7.3 diesel, I plan to drive till until one of us wears out. Its at 198,000 right now.
About 310,000 on a 95 Dodge Dakota with the 318. Still used as a fam truck and still doesn't use much if any oil.
250,000 plus on 2002 GMC Duramax used mostly as a plow truck these days, but for several years it was "The fleet" of our start up business.
Gave my GMC 1999 pickup to one of the children.

Had 320,000+ miles on it.

Gave all the fuel & maintenance records for the vehicle from the day it was new.

Consistently got 19 to 21 miles driving in all conditions, Plus Did not use oil.
We have at least a dozen Chevy/GMC's at work with 400k+.

Current truck is 2005 Dodge W2500 with 6cyl Cummins and 6 spd manual transmission right at 200K miles. Just sold a 1996 K1500 with small block v8 (350?) to Son In Law for daily feeding / mud truck with 225K miles. Fleet average for four vehicles is 183K miles.
A buddy of mine has 370,000+ on a Toyota Tundra, don't know the model year exactly but it is before 2005 since he got it used about then.
1977 Ford Super Cab. 340,000 miles before it caught on fire. It had a built 400 and it was damn fast.
My 2001 Dodge Ram is just shy of 300,000 SM.......
Back in 2000, I bought a 1987 Mack Superliner with a million miles on it. It had never had anything done to the engine. Sold it in 2005 with 1.3 million miles.

The thing smoked like a freight train and would haul ass too. One day an irate motorist called me. He was so pissed off. He said he was following my truck and couldn't see where the hell he was going. I told him that if he didn't like it, maybe he should just pass him. Duhhh. That didn't go over very well, he hung up on me. I guess the guy felt the need to call me up and give me schit. But when I didn't show him any love, he got his feelers hurt.

1981 F-150 with 300ci, inline 6, 284,000 or so miles with no repairs to the engine....

Probably still runs like a top too. I have 226,000 on my '04 double cab, and it purrs like a kitten. Still like new. My wife's 09 ford escape is the same way. 260,000 on the odometer of that one. Thats the main reason I bought the escape with the duratec engine. They are known for being very durable... Neither of them use a drop of oil within their 5,000 mile oil changes either..

Heck, until very recently, all of mine had over 200K when purchased. When I am done, no one else has a use for them.
My 07 Tacoma has 194,000 on it and I have no doubt that it'll go another 194,000 without any major repairs. I drove an 85 F-150 with the 4.9 I6 engine over 150,000 miles and only put a clutch in it. My current 14 F-150 with the 5.0 V8 is only at 67,000.

I have a friend with a 1997 F-150 with the 5.4 V8. I know he is over 400,000 and I don't think he has done anything to the engine, but I'm not positive. He did have the transmission rebuilt a couple of years ago.

Jerry, I've been eyeballing a '12 f150 supercrew 4x4 with the 5.0. Beautiful trucks. How do you like that new 5.0 motor?
Bought a 2003 GMC 5.3L new. Put 225,000 on it in 10 years. Wife traded it on a Camry. Wish I still had it.

Dad bought an 88 Toyota with a 22R. He put 160,000 on it. I drove it through high school and college. Gave it back with 280,000 miles. He sold to a guy in town that drove it for several more years.

Current 6.0 Diesel has 165,000 miles. It’s had all the fun stuff done to it...
I put over 200,00 miles on three F-150s in a row. All had the 4.6 V8 in them. One if them is still in the driveway. I have a 2006 Chevy Silverado with the 4.8 V8 5at has 234,000 on it. My last two trucks have been Toyota Tacomas. Both right at 200,00 and still running strong. All of these vehicles were super reliable. If I had to choose one it would be an F-150.

Geez, that says a lot right there. Now I'm considering buying that '12 f150 even more. I've also had a 2004 GMC 1500 4x4 and I had to replace the transmission twice, the transfercase once and the G80 locker once. All of that with less than 130,000 on the odometer. That engine sure was a good one though.. As for Toyota trucks, I can't say enough good about them. That's going way back to the first gen toyota pickups too. Excellent little trucks, tough as nails and dependable as hell. The f150's are also great. I've had a few of those, but honestly trust Ford to be a lot more dependable than chevy. Its been that way forever.

I recently sold my 2001 Tundra with 160K miles. It had a new frame and ran like new. I regret selling it. I sold it to a farm boy, so I know he will love it.
1998 K1500 Chevy, 5.7 liter, 5 spd, 394000 miles and counting. I bought it new and so far Ive not had to do anything internally to the engine, transmission or differentials. 2 slave cylinders, 2 water pumps, an alternator, and a couple CV axles up front are all the repairs I can remember.
My '88 Ranger had 195k on it when I swapped it. The little 2.3 still ran like a top, but the Mazda gearboxes those had was not up to snuff.

I have a '97 GMC 1500 4x4 with manual trans, it has 205k on it. I was hauling heavy loads with it last fall when we had to get all our stuff off the lease. Pulling my partner's tractor back, I was having to flog the crap out of it to keep it above 50 mph. Got all the way into his front yard with it and stopped in front of his barn. Damned thing wouldn't start anymore...turned out my coil control module and coil itself had failed. Replaced them and it's running strong again. Coulda been a real PITA if it had quit on me 30 or 40 miles out. The good Lord does see me through on many of my ventures.

Also have an '05 F150 Lariat with 155k on it. It's been a damned good truck and a nice ride.

Drive my 1982 F150, 4.9l auto every day to work. 183,000 on it. Retired my other '82 4.9l , 3 on the tree 5 years ago. Needed another clutch and front end. Plus the fact it was rusting out faster than was safe to drive. Had 224,000 on it and still ran fine. Got it out back using for parts on the other. The 2010 Tacoma stays in the garage mostly, only 34,000 on it.

I had a 1996 Yukon with 266.000 thousand miles on it when I sold it. It was still ringing strong.
The 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi my oldest son drives. It has 136,000 miles on it, and just cost me $1500 yesterday for a new water pump and spark plugs. The dealer ship was trying to get us for another $1000 until I told them I pay the bill not my son. It's always fun yelling at someone over the phone from half-way around the world. The only reason it went to the dealership for work is due to the proximity of the dealership to his college dorm. On the bright side, they offered my son a job when he picked it up.

238k on my 07 expedition that I drive everywhere. Routine maintenance is all I’ve had to do so far. 186k on my 05 excursion. I had the head gaskets replaced back in 17. Still going strong. 148k on my 06 PSD F350. The turbo was replaced under warranty the first year. I just had the drive shaft rebalanced last week. No complaints about ford products on my end.
I'm at around 315,000 on my 6.0 gasser.

I knew some guys that would run 1500HD's and 2500's till destruction. Out of a sample size of around.50 trucks, most made it between 325,000 and 400,000 with a transmission and a few odd transfer cases going out. Usually by 400,000 the bodies were beat up bad enough they were knocked in the head and used for parts.
I'm at 344K on a 2001 Dodge 2500 4x4 Cummins and I have a 2000 Dodge 3500 2wd with 197K. No internal engine problems with either but I've replaced alotta stuff on the 2001. Wish they could still make the simple diesel trucks....
A local cattle hauler. 1 ton Chevy with an 8.1 gas. Gooseneck trailer behind it 75% of the time.

Brand A - Z, it fuggs up in a 100K due to born with defects, or, after that the owner/driver pretty much shapes it's future.
My '87 Toyota 2WD pickup has 426,000 on it.
My '98 Toyota T100 4WD has 232,000.

Ran my 04 Dakota 4x4 V8 for 14 years and nearly 350k miles with no engine problems! Finally "needed" wanted a new ZR2 so it went down the road running fine.

My '96 F250 with the 7.3 has 345K on the ODO, but it stopped working four years ago.... Figure another 50K. Still running surprisingly well, really, but it's a dog compared to a modern diesel.

my 2009 Tacoma has 207K on it and is using oil like its going out of style. 3 quarts between oil changes. My '97 Tacoma went 360K with nary a problem, but this 2009 / 2.7 is a POS.
My '99 F150 4x4 has a trouble free 108k on it...
Drove a Ist gen dodge 12v cummins that had over 500,000 when we finally smoked a piston. Rebuilt and finally wore the truck out at close to a million mile on it. Owned 2 2nd gen 12 valves that went over 300,000 without any major repairs. Had a 03 f150 with a 4.2 v6 that had 290,000 on it when I sold it. Still see it around town. My last truck was 2007 f150 with the horrible 5.4 it had 220,000 on it when I sold it to my neighbor had only changed the plugs in it. Neighbor is still driving it but he did have the cam phasers and timing chains replaced. My current truck is a 2011 f150 with 5.0 Just fixing to turn over 160,000. Had to replace oil psi sensor. Pain in the ass.

My 2001 Ford Ranger broke the timing chains at 44,000 miles in 2014. The truck looked like new. The week after I paid a small fortune to get it fixed the clutch burned out. I sent it down the road after that repair. I don't know why Ford used that German designed engine. Now it's Toyota all the way.
2006 Chevy reg cab 2wd Silverado. 264k. Still driving in 100miles a day to work. Had to put a water pump on it last weekend. Uses a little oil. Everything still works except #5 on fan.
2000 Silverado ext. cab 2wd LWB @ 295,000 (new motor @ 294k) It was Dad's old work truck. He parked it 2 yrs. ago at 294k with water in the oil and smashed up pretty good. I decided to keep it. These ext. cabs with an 8' bed are hard to come by these days.

1999 Silverado reg. cab 4wd LWB @ 264,000 Uses a little oil but damn near trouble free. Had to change fuel pump twice (replacement was bad) and a crank sensor.
1999 F-250 7.3 has 387,000 with no major repairs.
Once again, current vehicles I drive.

06 honda Pilot, 266,000

93 Camry V 6, 250,000 miles...

Most cars, i get 350 to 400K... motor is usually still running good..

The body is what gives out.....truck bodies hold up better than cars...
We had a couple 2013 gas F250's here at work that I thought did extremely well. Mine had 186,000 the other had 240,000 on it. We also idle'd them extremely hard. I usually drive 60-100 miles or so then sit and idle for 8-12 hours then drive back to the shop. The engines probably had 3-4 times more hours on them than a normal vehicle with the same miles on them.
2000 Silverado 4wd...4.8 v8 5 speed. Made it to 280k and frame got so bad I had to park it but would still bark tires slamming 4th gear at over 90. Current ride is a 2011 f150 140k and counting.
I have a 2011 F150 with a 3.5 ecoboost, 288797 miles. It’s not without issue. Check engine light is on, has a vacuum leak so the right hub try’s to engage when a left turn is made. When time permits these issues will be addressed.
100K on a D12 in a Freightliner since last June. LOL

I got in it at 12k, they changed the oil at 17k and then again at 92k, no chit, 75k interval... About 7.8 MPG overall.
1994 Toyota T100 4x4 had 300,000 miles and no issues ever. Sold it for 6,500 on eBay.

2002 Toyota Tundra 3.4L 4x4 had 289,000 and no issues ever. Sold it for $5,500 on Facebook.

2008 Toyota Tundra 5.7L 4x4. Only 89,000 so far , but shooting for 300,000 again.
Drove millions of miles working... any more don't like getting on the road, my 2004 just turned 82k.

my current 1998 Chevy Chyenne 1500 has 287,000 and still going strong.My previous Chevy S10 was an 1985 and had 313,000 when I sold it to a friend. in 2001. He drove it until he wrecked it in 2011. Previous to that I had an 1972 Chevt Std cab short box with 319,000 on it when I wrecked it.
2007 Hummer H3. 215,000 miles. No motor problems other than 2 water pumps. New trans at 173000. I'm not hard on a transmission. Kinda surprised me. Had a lean reading that was heck to track down. Pinholes in the line to the charcoal canister and in the top of the fuel pump.
My 1994 Chevy Suburban 1500 with a 5.7 (350) is still going strong with 268K miles. Once the family car its now my hauler Its on its first synthetic oil change right now, which I expect will keep it running longer.
My F550 camper has 360k and it is only a little older than 2. Driving to climbs 200+ days a year puts on the miles.

The Taco I hardly ever drive has 375k but I'm the third owner.
My Jeep Wrangler had 205,000 when I sold it. The speedo became intermittent at some point in the last couple of years, so it was probably more like 225,000.

I ran stock tires and didn't drive it too hard, plus I pulled normal, regular maintenance. I think a water pump went out once, but that was about it.

1992 Dodge 3/4 ton 5.9 Cummins 5 speed 582,000....spun a bearing in turbo at 120,000....new clutch, pressure plate & throw out bearing 280,000...about every 70'000 needed front axle bearings......more than 80% miles on highway....only used to haul a trailer or load in the bed.....
Since it has gotten away from Ferde trucks, my 02 Duramax has 304,000. It has original engine, trans, and both diffs. Also has the original front brake pads. I mainly use it to haul my shooting equip. around the USA to shooting matches. My old Mitsubishi that I drive daily back and forth to work has 284,000. It is still an excellent vehicle, but a customer just gave me a clean 2009 Toyota Corolla with 175,000 on it to replace the Lancer.
The Corolla has a blown head gasket that is getting repaired.
I've got 247,000 + on an '04 Silverado. Took it out of daily service a couple of years ago in order to buy another similar truck for tax reasons. Keep it hooked up to a boat so I can go fishing or duck hunting spur of the moment. Still going strong.
My first truck as a teenager was an old 87 sr5 toyoto 4x4. We sold it in '96 with 240k on it, I still see it on occasion but have never tried to rundown the owner to see how many miles are on it
Was in the Toyota dealership the other day kicking tires. They had an article of a guy with a 2008 Tacoma that had reached 1.2 million miles with the same tranny. The engine was replaced at 880K. The guy delivered nuclear medicine and used the vehicle as his transportation.

I have a 2006 Duramax with 132,000 miles. Years ago, I had a Toyota P/U with the 22RE engine. I don't think you could kill that engine.
It's hard to say how many miles are on my 71 GMC....when stuff wears out, it'll get replaced...unless it gets the frame bent, I imagine it might outlast fossil fuels...

I'm loving it.It has plenty of power and fuel mileage is about as good as can be expected. I CAN get 20 mpg hwy with a 4X4 Supercrew on the hwy if I keep the speed under 70. But most of the time it is just under 19 for me. I drove it from GA to Colorado to hunt 3rd season and got 18.8 on the way out. For unknown reasons was 17.9 on the way back. I drove 70-75 most of the way. I wasn't loaded heavy, but had a moderate load of camping/hunting gear including a generator and my wife. It had no trouble getting up mountain passes as high as 11,000'. Both 5th and 6th gears are OD on these trucks. I just locked out both and drove up the passes in 4th at 2000-2200 rpm and was able to maintain the speed limit.

I bought it used 3 years ago in May. I was on the fence about the 3.5 turbo, but after driving both settled on the 5.0. I was able to drive a 2014 with 17,000 miles on it off the lot for exactly the same money as an otherwise identical 2013 with the 3.5 and 27,000 miles on it. The 3.5 is a good engine that puts out a lot of torque at low rpm, but I just didn't need it. Or the extra maintenance required.

If you look at used Fords pay very close attention to the axle ratio and payload stickers on the drivers door. Ford is all over the place. Gear ratios range from 3.15 to 3.73. Payload is typically around 1600-1800 lbs for the crew cabs. But there are some out there with payloads as low as 1100 lbs. With either engine you could get a truck terribly under powered and unable to tow much. Mine has 3.55 gears and payload just under 1700 lbs. I'm rated to tow 7700 lbs,which is more than I'll ever tow.

JMR, my F-150 work truck has the 5.0 and 3.55's love it, only 65k on it, hell still on the original Hankook's up frt makes great mileage and plenty of performance. I liked it so well in Oct of 2016 I bought a F-150 4wd Super cab with 8' box, yup 5.0 and 3.73's good mileage and plenty of power.. MB
I put 277,000 miles on my 2002 Chevy Silverado.
I rode that SOB hard and it was amazingly maintenance free.
Almost zero breakdowns aside from a couple of batteries and a driveshaft that I F'ed up.
My God, the animals that bloodied up the bed of that thing...😛

290,000 out of a 90 Chevy 1/2 ton with a 350. Changed oil every 3000 miles.

Got 210,000 on a 2004 Dodge diesel, still runs like a birdshot dog.
305,000 miles on a 2012 nissan frontier. Daily driver/hunting vehicle. Uses some oil between changes. Transmission and engine still working real well. Hope to get another 100k out of it.

No longer have it but had a 07 Chevy Duramax finally chucked the rod just under 500,000 miles..
Now if you want to talk bigger truck motors we've got an old lowboy truck with a 3406 cat I believe it's been rebuilt five or six times and it's got pushing 2 million miles on the actual block
I looked at the odometer of a 2003 F250 2WD with the 6 speed manual and a 7.3 diesel. The owner was a building engineer that travels all over the US and refuses to fly. When I saw it, it had 806,000 miles on it. The only issue he'd had, other than servicing, a set of brakes and tires, was new shocks.

I had a 1992 Ranger STX with the 4.0. It was a 2WD, 5 spd, short bed, regular cab. I bought it new and drove it like a sports car. Somewhere around 75k miles when intruded it in and it still didn't use any oil, even with all those high RPM stunts.
Highest mileage vehicle in our driveway is my wife's 2013 Sienna. Bought it used in '15 with 44K on it. It now has about 185K on it and still runs and drives like a champ. Nothing but regular oil changes, a couple brake jobs, some tires and 1 new battery.

I wish Toyota trucks were as good as that van.

2003 half ton Silverado ECLB. Motor and trans original. ATF changed every 50-60K. Rear end is getting sloppy, and the rust is winning. Still gets driven regularly.

My work truck a 2000 Toyota Tundra = 392143. Only major work has been valve gaskets. Regular maintenance like timing belt, brakes, couple of starters.

My home truck a 2014 Ford F-150 4x4 crew cab = 70k

Toyota has to last another 10 months or about 12-15K miles to take me into retirement then it goes away.
Had a 1999 Expedition. 5.4L engine. 2wd.

Never had any engine problems - none. Powerful motor.

Faithfully kept the oil changed.

Last mileage known to me was 209,000 - wife took the vehicle in divorce. She sold it when the heater core went out and the replacement cost was very high.
I've had a pair of Tacomas in the 180k range before I got rid of them.

Best was a CVPI with 198600 on it and 3700 hours idle time when I sold it. Best car I ever owned. 4.6 mod motor.
Sold a 12 valve with 856k on the clock... running strong.

Trans had been rebuilt and a couple of front ends... but that is just cost of doing business if you own a Mopar.
Got a ‘06 Chevy regular cab 1500. 4.8l v8.

A/c will freeze you out.
If Chevy doesn’t get anything else right, they can make an a/c.
Tranny went south at 178,000. My Hummer H3 has 250,000 on it. So far so good.
3 Chevy trucks and suburban and the lowest mileage one has 285,000 the highest one is over 300k. All 3 have the 5.3 Vortec. Awesome engine that’s been trouble free.

Pick one, Ive got several. 98 GMC 4x4, 337K miles. 96 Chevy 2500 2wd, 361K miles. But the hands down winner is my 98 Chevy 4x4 that I bought new, it now has 413K miles and Ive yet to touch the engine except water pump, alternator, plugs, wires, cap and rotor.
My VN64 Volvo had 2,315,000 plus a few when I sold it running perfectly. The frame had started cracking so it was retired to hauling produce in homestead Florida. I rolled rods and mains in it once. Motor was an 11.1 series 60 Detroit.
In the past I've generally run the heck out of them. The following has been the most mileage with no engine work other than maintenance at the point I sold them. All have been 4x4s.

My 2003 Silverado Crew Cab 2500 HD 6.0 had 200K on it when I sold it to buy the truck I'm driving now before I retired. It still ran like a top and everything worked but it needed new body bushings and suspension from being someone's farm truck before I bought it...

My son's 2000 Silverado 5.3 had 302K on it when he traded it in on a new GMC Sierra and it ran like a top also. Good maintenance makes a difference, but new engines are built to last a lot longer than the ones us old geezers grew up with.... wink
My 02 F-150 XLT 2wd had 173k miles on it in 2014 when I bought my 2014 F-150 Ecoboost. My 2014 F-150 has 86,500 on it.

I had a '98 F150 that had 187,000 on it when the odometer quit working. Sold it 7 years after that. It had to be getting close to 400,000 by the time I sold it. Still ran like it should. One tune up, the rest just regular maintenance.

In 2017 I had 345,000 on my 2004 Dakota 4x4 V8 and the engine was running fine, I never had any work done to it. I traded it in on my 2018 Colorado V6 ZR2 which needed a cam sensor at 70,000. It could have been $1500 but the dealer got GM to cover all but $287.00 even thought the coverage had run out.
2002 GMC 4x4 auto. 252000. Just did a 4500 mile trip mostly 75/80 MPH and 18 mpg. No leaks or oil use. Think I'll keep it.
272K on a 2011 Silverado 5.3, likes a quart or 2 of oil between changes as I never deleted the AFM system. Runs fine, with most of the original parts. Do the maintenance as needed.
240,000+ on a 2006 4.8 Silverado.

230,000+ on a 2008 4.6 F-150.
I only have 203,000 on my 2001 S10 but, a guy I work with has a 2011 Silverado with 350,000 and climbing everyday. Transmission has been rebuilt and radiator replaced but, not much else. Motor hasn't had much of anything done to it.
504 k on my 06 Dodge, I ground the valves at 480k. My 03 Dodge has 246k.

224,000 on my 2011 Silverado. Lifter ticking, bad valve guide seal and low oil pressure but still runs great. Going to take her to 300,000 at least! Friend has Toyota FJ with 405,000 and another friend's wife has 480,000 on her Suburban.
06 F-150 5.4L 4x4 has 229k on the clock.

I bought it three years ago at a bank repo sale for $2700. Put tires and a windshield on it at that time. A couple of weeks back, I changed out the outer tie rod ends. I've no idea what the previous owners did to it.

It runs great. I change the oil every 10k miles, and it's always still full. Gas mileage on these trucks sucks, but that's the only bad thing I can say about it.
260,000 on my 04 silverado, second only to the 1980 Scout I used to have (264,000). Know a guy with a '60's vintage scout with over 400k. IH made some good engines. The 152 4 cylinder was half of the 304 V-8 they made; and the 196 4-cylinder was half of the big 392 they used to put in the Travelall.

356,000 on my 2000 Frontier, I'm catching up to a couple of you.
250k on 01 3500 Cummins dually. Just now replacing a carrier bearing. 97 Cherokee has 225k on it, my daily driver to work and back. Got a ‘12 Impala, wife’s car, 223k on that. a fuel pump is all we’ve done to it. 300 hp from a v6 that gets 32 mpg down the highway.
Had a 1990 Mazda B2600. The only vehicle I ever bought new. It had 251,000 miles on it when I traded it in. And still on the original clutch. It was still running good. I kind of wished I had kept it. I didn’t get much for it on trade.
My 03 ford Ranger has 245,000. Does not leak or burn any oil. Replaced spark plugs once. I have always used Pennzoil Syn.
92 Dodge 250 with the 5.9 has upwards of 300k

Not a truck but my 12 Jetta TDI has 320k, still gets between 40 and 50mpg
398,000 on my 98 tacoma. Everything still works and other than normal maintenance all I’ve had to do is rebuild the starter. If it dies next time I drive it I can’t complain.
