I guess there will be more jobs coming to Middle, Tennessee then. Amazon is supposed to be putting a big outfit in the Downtown Nashville area. Their presence (and pay) will no doubt increase the rate smaller employers will need to pay folks in order to keep them.

I think it's more of a financial issue than a get-even. Bezos is seeing the writing on the wall with NY. NY has made it so difficult to do business there within their unfriendly confines, businesses are moving by the thousands and many have been moving out of NY for years. I believe he doesn't want to get entrenched there and then have the dims turn to him to shore up their depleting/depleted corporate tax base. He's already shown great savvy (if you want to call it that) in avoiding providing healthcare and other benefits for employees, choosing to offload those onto the taxpayer. I believe NY elitist libs like that commie psycho Cuomo were seeing Amazon as a tax revenue shot in the arm and Bezos didn't see it that way. They probably had a couple meetings where that came out. That, and Cuomo dropping his pants last week about the 30% shortfall in tax revenue. Dumb basturd.

We already have a huge (and expanding) Amazon distribution network in Northern KY built around CVG. Might as well bring HQ2, et al, to N.KY as well...

They already have a large campus in Portland, OR if I am not mistaken. Nephew works for them there. Computer Science/Cyber Security major. Had three companies in a bidding war to hire him straight out of college. Amazon won.

That is the only way NY can get a business to open here. They give them 10 or more years of ridiculous tax breaks and when it expires and the company has to start paying NY taxes they move somewhere else. I think we have proven it doesn't work. From what I have heard (from people in my industry), Amazon isn't a great place to work (at least in my profession). Can't really speak for other parts of Amazon.

True. About 100+ of us (as well as multiple other locations around the US) were told by our employer that they are moving (firing us) within three years to a different state to "consolidate". I work(ed) for one of the largest logistics companies....

Most here have probably heard Limbaugh talk about his exit from New York, and how they hounded him down in Florida, I can't understand why he went along with their investigations of him, he should have told them to pound sand and stay off his property.
