This is from powder valley's facebook page. I hate to see Rainer going away

We just received information that Rainier has decided to close their doors forever. We're a little surprised. It is always sad to see a company who is in our industry close their doors. We never sold their bullets but have had many meetings with them over the years.

That's a pity. I used a lot of Rainer bullets back in the day.

I shot a few, they were OK

"We never sold their bullets"
"I used a lot of Rainer bullets back in the day."
"I shot a few, they were OK"

Sort of explains why they're closing.

My most accurate load for one of my pistols was with a Rainier bullet. I hope this is not true. Doesn't appear to be from their website....

I have been buying jacketed bullets from Precision Delta for cheaper than the prices I see on Rainer plated bullets almost every place I have looked. RMR also is cheaper for jacketed.

Per a todays phone conversation with them, they are shutting down. Maybe someone will buy the company and try resurrect it.

If someone buys it, they'd be smart to move it out of WA.

I thought the same when I posted above. I just recently got back into the reloading scene after years of being away. I used to shoot a fair amount of their .45 230gr plated bullets, like 10,000 perhaps? Never had any complaints.

EDIT: I guess I will have to find a different bullet supplier.

Seem to be a lot of new bullet manufacturers at SHOT on a regular basis. They do not seem to grow quickly... I would think the competition is tough.
I checked for 41 bullets and all types are out of stock; wonder what that means? Cheers NC
