Does anyone else tend to over season in this situation?
Any solution to this? Thinking about taping off 1/2-3/4 of the holes in the top of the shaker. Anyone tried this?

Pace yourself, trust me.
I over cook and under season everything when drunk.

We have learned to like it that way.
I tend to overcook when stoned....

Under cook when drunk...

Just kidding.

Serious note, it's muddy here and I got bored so gave the ol' Weber the annual super clean.

9 years old and it looks new.....

Frog snacks!

You appear to be neither stoned or drunk.

Is it worth it?

Currently have bacon on the grill in the large Weber fish basket. Shortly burgers to follow. Seasoned with a mix of powdered Au Jus and Famous Daves Steak and Burger seasoning.

I remember having a cook out when I was a kid at a relatives house, we had a small fire going on the ground and were simply having hotdogs on sticks. One of my older cousins and his friends showed up and they were all drunk or stoned,
one of them grabbed an old tractor tire and tossed it on the fire to get it going better I guess. Plenty of black oily smoke in a matter of minutes, trust me, that cook out was very short lived.

Jim, if you combine the two they cancel each other out.....ala grilling perfection!

laughing

Clay, we need a pic of the feast!
Jericho, that is terrible behavior.

When we were kids my parents would take us down to the river and we'd fish and my dad would make a little fire for us to roast hotdogs.

Take a green willow and make yourself a grilling stick.

Those were the days....

I never thought of that Sam!

This last beef we finished is marvelous.

Got another hanging right now.

T bones tonight.

Still busy raising rabbits.........wtf.

Oh yeah, my dad used a refrigerator shelf rack to make hamburgers in the back yard, the good old days.....
Everybody has one of them stores in Colorado.
Jim, I could never kill my pet rabbit and eat it!

Your beef sounds delicious.

We have 3 old crippled-up cows that fattened up nicely but we don't need 5000lbs of fricken burger!

Jericho, best grilled food ever!

Mtn, never been in one.

I've never hunted Elk, but from pictures I've seen on the internet, I think you're doing it wrong.

Yes , ....er , quite possibly . But biggest mis grab was cinnamon powder instead of Chili powder. They aren’t interchangeable
Seared then beer braised drunk sausages came out great.

Did you take your teeth out and gum that summbitch to death?
Isn't grilling like fishing...you can do it sober, but why?

Really simple, save the drinking until the food is done. And you tend to drink less that way. Ruin less food. Less headaches. Don't beat the wife so much. On and on. All the positives are amazing.
Lighting gas grills while drunk can be fatal. Maybe the newer ones are more drunk proof than the older ones. But spewing gas that the drunk finally gets lit can cause a lot of misery. If you have time and are inclined watch the video of Dr. McGuff's 12 black swans to avoid . He thinks gas grills are very risky and should be avoided. I bet he really thinks drunks should avoid them. He is an emergency room dr.

I have a garage sale Weber that cost me $3. I don't know if it looks like new, its older than I am so I don't know what it looked like new. Its grilled and smoked a lot of meat. 3 times this week and some deer steaks tomorrow. Probably best $3 I ever spent.
Was that snakes on the grill?
worst thing i did while Grilling Intoxicated was catch myself on fire.

Don't tape the holes in the shaker, tape the hole in the bottle
High Brass and his best friend Ryan, "RYE77", started smoking some meat early and started drinking before noon. Ryan's son Austin had to put the fire on the deck out because Chad and Ryan were laying on the deck laughing their AZZs off. Good times!!!
