Makes you wonder why someone would want to live in a city.
Amen...
This was the start of the chit today for me. Tacoma area. Three hours later I was roughly 45 minutes further... Down into it then back up through it. Fuggin sucks in every regard.
Nothing wrong with that....what kind of fishes live in that lake?
Walleye, rainbows and perch. There's a few others IIRC. That's Canyon Ferry, an impoundment on the upper Missouri. It's plumb full of fish. Every year folks come from all around and try to wipe 'em out. Just more and more and more fish it seems... I first went here in the mid-70's before any of those buildings were there camping with my maternal grandfolks. (Our new to us place was the third house here, put in in 1995.)
So far the daughter is 1 and dad is a zero. Heck of a first fish for Novi, 5 1/2 already. This year, her grandpa has been getting trout this size pretty regular. I'm going to NEED a boat. Am thankful to the core that we got away from Portlandia. Thanks for the comment.
Montana is getting awfully crowded, just like north Idaho. The growth of Kalispell, over the last thirty years, is difficult to grasp. Likewise, the Cour d'Alene/ Sandpoint corridor is swarming. Even worse than the burgeoning urban sprawl, the back country is also crawling with people. I guess this is what you get when population in North America doubles and more. Still, crowded as it is, it beats the hell out of the big cities. GD
Montana before global warming was 9 months of winter and 3 months of poor sledding. Now we get an extra week of poor sledding.
“I am in love with Montana. For other states I have admiration, respect, recognition, even some affection, but with Montana it is love, and it’s difficult to analyze love when you’re in it.” John Steinbeck
It is pretty hard to take. This was bout 15 minutes from the house bear hunting this spring
The nuclear fallout from that blast should hit you any minute.... head for the bunker...... that place will glow in the dark for the next 1000,000,000 years....
definitely could use about 6 million negroes, that would build some character
According to the most recent American Community Survey, the Black population in Montana is 3,948 – at 0.4% of the total population of Montana.Dec 9, 2018.

In other words, almost paradise.
We don't talk about our negro problem......
And we have the worst Mexican food in the world... white people can't make proper mex food!

And no cheap labor to be found at the Homedepot parking lot. things are just harder here.
Spent every summer as a kid just out of Columbia Falls as my uncle was super of the hungry horse dam and my cousins lived in Kalispell and Whitefish...My second choice for a place to live,Montana..

Yes,and there all moving to Idaho...Last summer I ran into a couple that was born and raised in Kalispell down in McCall Idaho looking at property..They said Kalispell had gotten so bad they can't stand to live there anymore...Don't doubt it a bit...
I guess since we closed the gates here in Wyoming all the Californians are now headed to Montana. It's a wonderful place, much nicer than Wyoming, I'm sure they'll be happy there.

This is a typical Lander Wy. home and it is listed for only $75K
If I wans't headed to Florida ,Lander would be at the top of my list.....
Montana sucks.... once I get my placed fixed up I am selling it and moving to Florida
Your new Florida place? Moving up in in real estate, I see.....
Las, that's my Montana place... I am selling it and getting a single wide in Florida..... movin on up........ considered Tennessee but Slumlord and Renegade sceered me clear....

I hear Lander is very nice!!!
If you have big pockets to carry rocks around it is. Otherwise you better plan to spend some time in Afton or Pocatello if it really blows.
The subdivisions here stack houses on top of each other because land cost is so high......
The neighbors house is right through those tree's....... away's
Word is the locals are very friendly towards Liberals moving in to the neighborhood...That’s nice. 😎
Beav, my neighbors beyond those tree's are Calif. socialist (seriously) they are gone now and a fisherman from Sitka bought the place..... haven't met him yet, hope it isn't Art.... he hates me.....
I went to war with the other Californians across the county road from me and they lost.... hahaha and it cost them a bundle hahaha
A lot is for sale across the road from me... hint, hint
Currently sitting in the Bozeman airport with a nice view North. Been in country since last Tuesday. Did a road trip to Boise and back. Orientation for one kid at BSU and the other at MSU. Both universities have this great deal. You give them 120k and they let you buy all the branded clothing you want. Got me a couple a new hats.

That's a good deal for a liberal indoctrination....
That is the Holiday Inn Express in Kalispell. I spend a few nights a month there.
How is the one in Great Falls? I'll be there for a night in a couple of weeks.
In Great Falls the Holiday inn express is better than the holiday inn which is a little older. The holiday inn has a bar/restaurant so you have to buy breakfast. Only drawback to the HIE in Great Falls is the lack of good options to eat nearby. Haven’t been there since last week. 😎

Uh, it shows a McDonald's right down the street. I've stayed at the Holiday Inn and drunked at the bar, so figured I'd diversify this time.
If I spend much time in Bozeman, gonna have to learn proper fly fishing. Don't think the combat snag-a-thon technique like we do at home on the Russian river is gonna work.
There is a system just east of Havre that runs from Canada to about the middle of the state, heading east that looks real nasty. I hope you folks in NE MT keeping an eye on that one. Might want to park all those corvettes in the garage.

We were supposed to get a half inch over here, but as per the last month everything went east. Some seriously stressed crops up here. We’ve gotten less than an inch since May 28th and the area just west has maybe gotten half that.
Piles of hail sitting around in Kalispell. Nive and cool. Some rodeo in Columbia Falls. Uneventful otherwise. Made my bi-weekly Walmart adventure. Chubby college girls. It's ok.
When I was a young-un, my parents owned the Evergreen Lodge in West Yellowstone. Looks like nothing much has changed..., except that dinky little fish picture.
The remains of a Calif. tourist......... the Dominican Republic is safe compared to this place... you have been warned.... scavengers picked him clean.....
Ever see the movie "River Wild"? you know where the bad guys kidnap the white water rafting family....... yep Montana..... Happened on this river.. Kootenay
I know these guys are a bit slow.....but they cant be THIS slow!
Jimbo I am trying to discourage them from movin to Mt. think of it as a public service announcement.. Besides all these pictures were taken around Lander Wyoming... the jokes on them... hahahahah
True dat, I even see that abuse on big farms..... they make them drive trucks, tractors and such.. the horror.... then again to be expected in a third world state
Can't say anything bad about this place.... but there is no road within 35 miles so nobody will ever see it anyway....... might as well be on the moon. Many places in Montana like that.... wasted space
