Walleye, rainbows and perch. There's a few others IIRC. That's Canyon Ferry, an impoundment on the upper Missouri. It's plumb full of fish. Every year folks come from all around and try to wipe 'em out. Just more and more and more fish it seems... I first went here in the mid-70's before any of those buildings were there camping with my maternal grandfolks. (Our new to us place was the third house here, put in in 1995.)

So far the daughter is 1 and dad is a zero. Heck of a first fish for Novi, 5 1/2 already. This year, her grandpa has been getting trout this size pretty regular. I'm going to NEED a boat. Am thankful to the core that we got away from Portlandia. Thanks for the comment.

Montana is getting awfully crowded, just like north Idaho. The growth of Kalispell, over the last thirty years, is difficult to grasp. Likewise, the Cour d'Alene/ Sandpoint corridor is swarming. Even worse than the burgeoning urban sprawl, the back country is also crawling with people. I guess this is what you get when population in North America doubles and more. Still, crowded as it is, it beats the hell out of the big cities. GD

I guess since we closed the gates here in Wyoming all the Californians are now headed to Montana. It's a wonderful place, much nicer than Wyoming, I'm sure they'll be happy there.

The cost of things and the number of people moving there..McCall Idaho is similar with way less people..That's why they were scoping out McCall.

This is a typical Lander Wy. home and it is listed for only $75K

If I wans't headed to Florida ,Lander would be at the top of my list.....

In Great Falls the Holiday inn express is better than the holiday inn which is a little older. The holiday inn has a bar/restaurant so you have to buy breakfast. Only drawback to the HIE in Great Falls is the lack of good options to eat nearby. Haven’t been there since last week. 😎
