Just a shoutout for great customer service from Streamlight. I have been using their stuff for many years but never sent anything back for repair[ usually lost them before breaking]. I found my original 1st gen TLR 1 in a box of old stuff and couldn't get it to work. I went on their website and saw how easy it was to initiate repairs so I sent it in. The light had been used hard for years and looked it. I received it back in 9 days totally rebuilt from lens to switch, only the body was original. It now works better than ever. Total cost to me was the shipping to them, no charge for parts or labor.

Thanks Streamlight, still a great company.

Why would they do that?

Are they guaranteed?

I have no idea, I assumed there would be charges because it is old and beat to schidt. They asked no questions, just restored it and shipped for free.

Maybe they have heard about what a cool guy I am.grin

They repair all of our flashlights under their generous warranty. That comes up to as many as 50 per month at times. They do not distinguish between personal or industrial use. Fine outfit.

I love their products. Never had to repair one.

Glad to know about the no BS repair policy.

I have 2 of them that are at least 30 years old. I just replace the battery every few years.

Streamlight makes good schitt. I have a TLR-1s HL gun light on my 870, a ProTac I carry as my primary light on my duty belt, an old SL-20x (Vegematic) and a Poly-Tac I always have on me off-duty. I managed to even draw blood with it once. They make user serviceable parts available too.

I'm a Streamlight fan.

I ever wear one out or brake it, I'll maybe check on the warranty service. But don't hold yer breath, cause they aint exactly fragile...

Lights built to be used...

And I've played with a lot of lights over the years. Some other good stuff is out there.

But
I'll compare Streamlight switches, lenses, elements and build with about anything available. Never had one that didn't work when needed. Never had one that came on in a pocket or holster when it wasn't purposely turned on.

There's a reason I don't get past my bedroom door without a Streamlight on my person.
