Looking for a stand up weed puller for the missus. There’s a good number of models on the market, and I’d like to get one that works well for her.
Fiskars makes a couple different models that look like they would be nice, and I’ve never been dissatisfied with Fiskars products. For their price range they seem to be well engineered.
Keep in mind it’s for a small woman, not for me.

I've never seen one in operation. How well do they actually work? Will they pull Lamb's Quarter and Mallow? Those have very strong top roots and we have plenty of them.

I a Fiskars Fiskars 339950-1001 39" 4-Claw Weeder, and it actually does a pretty good job. We have the hard red clay soil that is typical here in the Southeast, and it will pull most weeds out by the roots.

Have used the fiskars like Beoceorl has pictured and it works pretty well.

Never heard of a stand up weed puller, but after seeing this thread, I’m getting one.

Austin Powers would make a good stand up weed puller

From 200 Motels. Frank Zappa's hilariously weird movie
"Manuel the gardener placed his burning phallus in her quivering quim!"

Shouldn't you be pullin' them weeds for that sweet gal?

Poor Marty gotta do everything.......

Hah! Gotta keep her busy.
If she’s not busy she finds things for me to do

I wonder how one would handle kochia. If you don't get after them, they'll top 6' although they're fairly shallow rooted.
Back in the 30's, some guy was said to have come through here selling kochia seed for livestock forage. Problem is that they won't eat it. Now it's a major pest.

Not so.

Kocia makes fine feed if harvested young.

Higher in protein than alfalfa even. That aint saying much....alfalfa gets all the glory. Hateful damn plant.

The feds will sell you Forage Kocia now too for your pasture mixes.

Harvested young, like 4" high. It'll get higher than that in days and even goats won't eat it. It grows wild all over here and is close to being a noxious weed.

Yeah...you have to time it just right!

Hah! I just showed her myself.
How's it feel to lose all the wind in yer sails there buddy boy?

After 40 years of putting up with me? She's immune to almost anything.
That is unless I hit her or cheated on her. Then I'd better reach the border before sundown.
And she just said not the Ohio border either.

But funny as heck.

The quote about Manuel the gardener has been an inside joke for decades with friends of mine.
