Those nasty little things got bad enough to seek a fix. Doc said the easier steps would be a waste of money given t the stage. Day surgery and damn it hurts. Biggest complaint is the doc never went out to waiting room to report to daughter or came by after to tell me what was done. No requested phone call either.

I can't tell what he is talking about either but after just dealing with my first kidney stone I can't blame him for being all over the place in wording. I feel like I have a pretty high pain threshold and can usually box around pain , not with a stone I couldn't. Was shocky, puking, sweating, shaking and very very happy to see the IV go in full of morph and dilautid. Then bam it was over , next two days were spent in a drug hangover.

Sounds like roids all right....went to my doctor a little Philipino lady with those once thinking she was going to send me to some kind of [bleep] specialist. No way she told me to roll over and face the wall "big boy" lanced those suckers out right there …. My defining moment in a 30 year career as a Paramedic/PA was when a tough as nails 50 y/o Driller presented w/ anal bleeding and pain sufficient to warrant a visit to Doc in the remote hinterlands of Kazakhstan. When he bent over I thought he had stuffed bloody eggplants up his arse. He still sends me Christmas cards. Asteroids[best description ever] can only be appreciated by those that have suffered them and those that have treated them, neither are recreational. Prevention is possible and should be investigated by anyone who takes literature to the Crapper.
