Bob was a bit busy today, and knew y'all were wondering how things are going...

They got Stephanie lined out pretty well, and upgraded her to a private room from ICU! smile

Hopefully they have her fixed for now.

Bob's a pretty good nurse. (Much better than I am...)

Not sure how good a patient Steph is though.. grin

Ok... that's all from me. Bob will be the next one y'all hear from.

Prayers and good thoughts from everyone here are greatly appreciated, and it appears they did some good!
Thanks for that info. šŸ˜€

Greetings Friends,

Iā€™ve got a moment and wanted to thank everyone for thoughts and prayers. And thank rockinā€™ for his taking the time to start this thread.

Im beat so bear with me. Things were looking better as Rockinā€™ said this morning. But apparently bleeding going on again. Sheā€™s been told what they will have to do if hemoglobin counts donā€™t get better. She donā€™t wanna do that again, but keeps tellinā€™ em "hey yā€™all are the doctors". (Yeah they wanna bang there heads on the wall just like me!). So next 24 hrs weā€™ll watch hemo counts.

Just keeps gettinā€™ better.

Thanks again to you all!!!!

Thanks again to all my friends here!!! She is doing much better today. GI doc pretty sure no bleeding. Heā€™s a hoot! Thereā€™s possibllity she may be discharged today. Weā€™ll have to see. Chances are good.

What happened???

She had a very serious bleed in upper section of colon. GI doc said when he got to it, li looked like someone squeezing an orange. It was up right next to where small intestine joins. Also appears we called 911 just at the right time. As she would have probably bled out if we had waited very much longer. Looks like this is something that happens to some VAD patients after years of anti-coagulate drugs. She has been on coumadin for years. We monitor her INR count weekly from the house.

Just one more thing we have to keep an eye on now.

Thanks again to all of you for your kind words, thought, and prayers.

Bob
