...again.

This country is going to miss him when he's gone.
Yep. He sounded up beat as usual.
Yep...

Sounds great...
Yep. He had a good story to tell about this past Tuesday.
I’m gonna miss him for sure!
Sounded good today.

Wife is a Cancer Patient case manager at the Local Hospital's Cancer center.

She said Rush will be lucky to survive the year. She said he's been going thru treatment long before his Public Reveal. She could see it in his face.
Here I thought it was going to be about the Neil Peart/Rush tribute that SiriusXM has been playing the last few weeks...
I was 15 when I first listened to him. It was like being hit with a bolt of lightning. My eyes were opened. Thank you Rush.

Yep,big shoes to fill.

some them there colored folk don't think so...............
I hope he beats it.
He sounded much better today than I thought he would. I hope & pray his treatment goes well but he's got a terrible diagnosis to deal with.
I'd prefer to hear a good flush.
I had a vacay day today.

Caught parts of his show. Didn’t know it was his first since his anouncement.

Caught part of the Trump story. Telling of how last Tuesday went down.

Though some of calls in were as if he was already dead.....
It was indeed great to hear him this morning. I’ve been listening to him since the summer of ‘89. I listened to him more intently this morning, and will continue to for as long as he’s behind the golden mic.
He mentioned there’s a bunch of y’all that’s been with him for 31 years.

I was 11.

222Rem,

Was the Dems / Reps this far divided back then?

That's what we all should be praying. There's a lot of prayer power on here, if we just use it.

In my opinion yes, but the dems weren’t openly communist, and the GOP was more conservative too, as a whole. Everything has been shifting to the left on both sides of the isle.

The traditional media sources were still very biased, and ran unchecked. William F. Buckley was one of the lone conservative voices to counter the left. And honestly, as a teenager (my first vote went to George HW Bush), Mr. Buckley was a lot for me to absorb. Then Rush came onto the scene. He articulately explained the current political events, and brought both understanding and validation to the everyday conservatives who were working while tuning into his show. He truly pioneered talk radio, and I think his success is both due to his immense talent, knowledge, humor, and wisdom in understanding of the conservative “average American” who can still productively stay on task while listening to him for three hours. The show was more fun back then. Songs and parodies, and some legendary callers.

As far as the dem/rep split specifically, I think the change started with Clinton’s terms in office. His complete lack of moral character, and his VP inventing the internet (ha!) which ultimately expanded our information sharing, marked a turning of the tide for the traditionally semi-civil and stately behavior In politics. Bush Jr. did well at acting Presidential while being steamrolled by the left and the press, and never fighting back. Zero spent eight years setting new low standards. Trump (having grown up a doer rather than a politician), isn’t afraid to lock horns with the media and the left, and won’t let himself become a punching bag like Bush Jr. It’s not Presidential, but it’s effective, and is driving the left insane enough they’re no longer pretending a lack of bias or disguising their agendas.

Not my best explanation but what I could tap out on my phone. wink
Thanks for thst.
Yep, it was great to hear him on the airwaves again. He had a few coughs and sniffles but said it was a cold he just started coming down with and not diagnosis related.
Misty eyed a couple of times!

In the Clinton years Rush was a light shining in the darkness, we used to listen to him all the time.

I am so glad he was awarded the Medal of Freedom, especially on live TV at the State of the Union address.

I've listened to him for 31 years. I was a Navy helicopter flight instructor down in Florida when he first went syndicated nation-wide. Someone ask me if I had heard the "crazy guy" on the radio. I used to dial him in on the ADF non-directional beacon which was the local AM radio station, and listen through my headset, while out with the students. They couldn't hear it because I made sure their NDB toggle was in the off position. I've always wanted to call Rush and tell him that story, because he really likes aviation, and especially military pilots.

It's not too late, yet.............
I first heard him on an Amarillo channel when I was in the panhandle oil patch. 1 Aug, 1988.
He's a good guy, he needs our prayers.
God bless him and all Americans who love this great nation.
I think we all need to step up, let our hearts and minds be heard. No longer to sit still, and let others walk all over us or our flag.
Stand tall, be proud to be an American.
KFBK 1984. The year I became a Repuke..

on Day 100, that night on the tv show, the 100 icon in the corner, the zeroes were a pair of waffles. Lol

I still remember that for some reason.

Clinton has already waffled on several items.

Me too when I lived in NoCal and worked at MINSY. Crazy Rush Sacra-pimento days. smile That makes 35+ years a Rush listener!
Yep, great to hear him Friday, iconic voice and thought. Hopefully he gains a reprieve from the cancer, though it doesn’t bode well. All of us are time limited, the only constant is change.
Don't know the year that I first started listening to Him, but maybe y'all can help. I was working in Western Arkansas, and radio stations were hard to find, so I was scrolling through the stations, and Heard a man talking about eating road kill, and maybe someone should open a restaurant, using road kill and call it Furs Restaurant. He was unaware that there was already a Furs Cafeteria. People lit up his phone line letting Him know about that. I was hooked and tried to find Him on the radio where ever I worked. miles

Indeed, and the longer we are granted to live, the more that becomes evident.

“Nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky.”
Mid 80's I guess. Working near the Oregon/Calif border, one of the guys comes racing up, jams on the brakes, huge cloud of dust, I immediately think somebody got hurt. Nope, he says,
"you gotta listen to this guy...he just called the crazy feminists 'feminazis' ." Good old 50,000 watt KFBK. And my outlook on politics, humor, and life was never the same. I wish ye well Rush.
Muleshoe: I planned a trip (130 miles each way) to a gunshow and some gunshops along the way on Friday so's I could listen to "my'man" Rush Limbaugh all the way.
Rush, as usual, did not disappoint.
Some wonderful insights yesterday (Friday) into his personal life along with the appropriate destruction of the demonrats.
GO RUSH
GO TRUMP

Flintlocke: May I also digress on my first "exposure" to the "Maja Rushie"!
I was an out of state Mule Deer Hunter in southeast Idaho and high up on a mountain range one mid November day in 1985.
I had just had an incredible encounter with the biggest horned Mule Deer I had ever seen but could not catch up to it.
In the deep snow I trudged back to my VarmintMobile and started it up trying to warm myself.
Thank God the radio came on to a radio station out of Sacremento, kalifornicationkopia and Rush Limbaugh was on!
I was instantly mesmerized!
I found myself hootin and hollerin inside the cab of the VarmintMobile.
His opinions and insights were so unusual to be heard in public and they matched mine perfectly!
Soon enough my Hunting partners returned and they were equally as impressed as I was!
At the end of that Hunt I returned to my home in the Seattle area and bright and early Monday morning I called my local AM radio station and made arrangements for their "program director" to call me.
Soon enough he did and a month or two later Rush Limbaugh was on KVI 570 AM out of Seattle.
I have been a dedicated listener ever since.
My computer mouse pad is a gift from the EIB network for subscribing to Rush's online program.
The pad has a very complimentary picture of Rush on it - and I proudly display it for all to see who use my puter.
I also pray that Rush Limbaugh can somehow overcome this dreaded condition.
He has done more for the traditional values and conservative causes here in the United States of America than ANYONE!
And that, is saying something.
By the way his net worth is $590,000,000 (five hundred and ninety million dollars!)!
GO RUSH

It was good to have him back. He sounded good.

"She said Rush will be lucky to survive the year. She said he's been going thru treatment long before his Public Reveal. She could see it in his face."

I am thinking like your wife. I worked with many, many cancer patients when I was a paramedic. First thing I thought when I saw Rush at the SOTU speech was that he didn't look good.

I saw so many patients die of cancer. It is a bad way to go.

I'm betting a big chunk of that will go to charity when his race is run.
Don`t bury him quite yet.He is a fighter and cancer is now more curable then ever before.A prayer chain for him would help immensely.20 years ago my Wife contracted cancer and I was told she a 95% chance of not surviving. She is still here today .She had many folks praying for her.Lets do the same for Rush.Huntz

My dad was diagnosed in 2013 with stage 4 lung and liver cancer. They started an aggressive radiation and chemo treatment that nearly killed him in itself but it gave him 5 more years of a fairly comfortable life.

I'm aware that there are many different types of cancer, and all react differently to treatment. But cancer treatments are changing and improving nearly monthly, and I'm sure that Rush is receiving the absolute best money can buy.

We'll see how long he makes it. He's a fighter with a positive attitude. That's a large part of the battle.

I'll take the over on a year.
I was glad to hear his voice again. Nobody else can hold a candle to him.

I've also enjoyed seeing Bo Snerdley's Tweets defending Rush and putting all of the haters in their place. It's hard to believe all the hate out there.
Lets hope and pray

Muleshoe: Good point yours - Rush has been very helpful to and generous to several "charities" and causes.
I hope he can overcome this health condition.

P.S.: Stories are coming out (and I knew this would happen) of crazed demonrats taking glee in Mr. Limbaughs condition - this sickens me.
Right now my biggest political enemy is Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg and as much as I despise her and what she has and is doing, I would never (and have never!) wished her demise would occur.
Sad what many in our country/society have lowered themselves to.
