I hate to hear that. Addiction is messed up in a big way and can ruin a guys life. By the grace of God I didn't go that way in my youth. More than enough opportunity.
But, I hope what you say is true and he's dealing with the problem. That puts him ahead of most of the azzholes here. LOL

I met him about 12 years ago. I didn't think he had an addiction problem at that time. We met up at a local restaurant near the NRA Convention and then went to that event. I thought there was something a bit "off" about him then, though, and didn't meet up with him again.

Scott put a sizable chunk into that fund. I have always balanced knowlege of that against stuff posted on here. people are composed of many different parts.

It’s too late for the world but what people need to do is wake up and realize the denomination won’t take them to heaven but a walk with Christ in their life is the only way. Tom, I know that you have endured some abuse here, abuse that was unfounded and hurtful. Bringing your wonderful boy into an argument is just plain wrong as is anyone suggesting that was God’s way of punishing you. I made my opinions VERY clear in those dustups and I stand by what I said then. The problem is that you are now doing the same stuff to those that you have a bone to pick with. I understand that you still carry that anger around but I have to ask you if it isn’t misplaced anger? You seem to be using the same tactics that you abhorred and it’s not a good look on you. I hope you don’t think I’m jumping your ass because I’m not, I’m simply calling it as I see it. I wish you and your family all the best and I hope you can set your anger aside, attempt to forgive those that have brought you down to this level and resume your positive contributions to this site.

Miss Lynn, Thank you for such kind words, they really brightened my rainy Sunday. I sent 12 hours yesterday doing a complete brake job on one of my wife’s cars and am paying the price today. I couldn’t hardly get out of bed this morning because my back hurt so bad. That’s totally acceptable if you’re showing someone YOUR hunting areas. It’s also completely acceptable to eat the whole bill if you’re the one who invited someone along for the day. If they pitch in or bring some food and drinks to share, then great. But you’re the host, and shouldn’t expect anything from your guests. And keeping score to bring up at a later date is a total chick move.

If it isn't insomnia, it's the neurological pain in my left leg and if it isn't that, it's my bladder that betrays me.Without medication it is rare that I sleep through the night. Even medicated, I may wake up, but the new medication helps me feel more rested.

Then, miraculously about 4 or 5 year later (maybe my chronology is off ) he suddenly showed up here like NOTHING had ever happened. Casey was one of the ones he railed on most. I put him on ignore and he is one of only 2 people I have on ignore- truly a troubled human; Jekyll and Hyde- spin it however you want. Best to just ignore him and let him go away!

I kinda miss ol" Steelie. He had some real coherent moments that greatly added to the Fire. Yes, toward the end he got surly. But. I'd give him another chance to be the old Steelhead. I may be the minority but I'm used to it.

I shot a 350” bull days prior, hit him high in no mans land, my arrow stuck in him both ends sticking out.....found him next day arrow still in him....tried to get him again but no luck ended up running him out of that area. I've personally seen it well over a dozen times with rifle, handgun and bow while guiding.
My own personal best with a bow was shot near Soda Springs Idaho. I was deer hunting and heard him walking up the trail. I came to full draw with my Bighorn recurve. He sensed me, then reared up like "Trigger" from the Lone Ranger. I let go and hit him shallow off the shoulder. He took off rounding the hill. I went to the top, grunted twice, and he came straight back to where I killed him.
My wife's best bull with rifle was eerily similar...

There's very few posters that I wish would smarten up. Leader of the pack is Little Sprout. He seems like he may have a lot of useful experience, but like Pochantas he talks down to people, can't make a whole sentence and uses code words and excessive exclamation points. Steelhead, always seemed to have a chip on his shoulder, but he seemed like a good dude. Then he retired, moved to Tennessee and married. Somewhere along the way he became very bitter and his commentary deteriorated. The people he fought with should have kept it private. Whining on here, trying to win support for your side is a juvenile move. Put him on ignore. I've put lots of people on ignore and my blood pressure is way down. Be the bigger man, forgive and forget, move on.

At some point, you will come across a gentlemen that goes by Big Stick. He is somewhat of a novice when it comes to shooting. Any suggestions you could pass along to him on platforms, loads, proper bullets and COAL, I'm sure he would be appreciative and he will be quick to acknowledge your ideas.
He only uses Tasco Scopes, so you can see where He's at.

On a serious note, sorry to all I didn't make the group PM prayer vigil yesterday evening. Had a couple beers, ate two bowls of chili and woke up about 4AM on the sofa. Upon awaking I let out a series of magnificent farts and then fell back asleep.
