Here is another clip from Judge Jeanne about the moronic statement Bloomberg made about farmers and machniists like our friend here, Bristoe. You know, those deplorables who have dirt under their fingernails. Go to 5.41 where it starts. (Some of this has been posted before but I've not seen Bloomberg's insults to machinists, nor have I seen the contradiction by the commentator.)

Bristoe will love this one.

Enjoy the comment made by the moderator after Bloomberg's statement.

Bloomberg oughta know more than anybody that if the boss pushes a wheelbarrow of money to your bank, he's pushed at least a couple to his....
I guess everything will fix itself if it breaks.

LW, That is no moderator. That is a depiction of host of a scholastic competition. It was lifted from an Adam Sandler movie, and it is funny as hell in the movie and again as used here.

And, I just might be in love with JP.
When is he going to start picking on us loggers??? crazy i'm pretty sure were the lowest on the totem pole, either that were so lowly we dont even count !!!!! crazy crazy Bloomberg really knows how to make friends !!! mad mad
Crank the lathe dial in the direction of the arrow?

lolol,....

That comment is too stupid to even get angry about,...for me, anyway. But I'd pay good money to see him say that to a couple of toolmakers I know.

One I know would get him in a headlock and shave his head for that.
I’d settle for his tie getting caught in a lathe.

Sorry 'bout dat. I thought it was from a forum of some sort. Guess I did not see the Adam Sandler movie.

There's a few here that have poked fun at those that earn a living with their hands.

Yeah?

Douche move. And very ignorant.
I've worked in areas where the middle management administrative morons considered themselves some kind of special. It's not an uncommon attitude. Administrators are God's gift to working people and anyone who gets their hands dirty, breaks a sweat, or otherwise labors for a living is some type of ignorant moron. I've seen enough of that B.S. over the years and as soon as Bloomberg started being visible to folks outside of his own little NY city world I could see he had that attitude written all over him.

I can think of 2 right away that have achieved near god like status here. Not ignorant at all, chief
Stupid pilling on stupid.

He doesn't even realize it was a lot of farmers & machinist that turned the tide last time over BS like this.
Just to reinvigorate the discussion, you think farmers are mostly republican or democrat, conservative or liberal (politically)?
Pretty certain I know which way the machinist/mechanic types lean, but curious about the farmers. For the sake of this, by "farmers" I mean the big, commecial farmers, not the Mom and Pop veggie farmers with a produce stand.

They own a vehicle?

The real trick - requiring "grey matter" , is to know when to turn the dial in the direction of the arrow, or not, and how far.

Seemingly beyond most Dem politicians with their rhetoric.

I remember isaac saying something to you along the lines of what you did for a living . You asked him if he had ever made /produced anything of value in his life - no answer from him .
I don't remember the exact wording but something along those lines .

If an EMP or astroid event happened bloomberg types would be dead in short order .

Yeah, well, you ignorant fughars only know how to pull a cord and run like hell..... smile
Us dirt diggers didn't even warrant an honorable mention. LOL
An after-thought. Compared to farmers, machinists do! Starting with a 40 hour work week. and hell, they only need to turn something in the direction of the arrow. Farmers gotta find the arrow first.... smile
Not many Democrat farmers around here...

You will enjoy this.
Engineer (and I respect a good one) wants to use the mill.
OlPhart lead man.....”Nope. My shop you aren’t trained”

I took shop in high school!!!!!

“Okay.....go”

Hangs the end mill out a mile. Winds it way up in speed.......and cranks into the work.

Bridgeport.........climb mill......end of story for the end mill.

OlPhart...”Go away.....you are not trained......never ask again”

But he turned the handle to the arrow. ....or what ever Bloomberg said

Yes the machinists all watched. .........half of them needed a cigarette afterwards it was so good.
Is this chit for real? Trump gunna’ lay the smack down.

It was 30 years ago. Still clear in my mind. Mike standing there calmly saying ....”go ahead”

When mike had his arms crossed something was up.

He may be old but he didn’t miss much.

The vise was back and the table to the left.

He knew the guy would want to show off and get it done quickly. God has a sense of humor. Setup was there.

The table going from left to right with the cutter in front of the part.

He got to it and it tried to “climb” over the workpiece.

Weakest link is the fuse in any circuit.

End mills was the weak link.......and they don’t die quietly.

Great shop. Mike had your back. If you screwed up......HE took care of it. If you didn’t do it again he respected you for working to be better and it wasn’t mentioned again.

Learned a lot there.

Las......I’ll be up to Bethel in the next year. Giving machinist lessons.

My first time in Alaska!!!!!!
What a dumb [bleep] worm!
Put up with that p hucked up superior attitude from management for the last 20 yrs. I worked s a Tool & Die Maker. Laughed my way all the way to the bank while earning more than 2x what my Phd. BIL was making ! It was lots of fun watching how pizzed off that made him.
I got a job working for a family owned CNC machine shop. The shop worked 10 hours a day and so we started earlier than the office people.
I figured parking would be first come first served.
There was a small black top area close to the building so I parked there. I was told to park in the mud farther away because the blacktop was for office people. Even though they started later in the day?

All you need to remember is that G0 goes fast and G1 goes slow, the rest is simple !

Turning the handle to the arrow is the easy part. The hard part is doing the work in the correct order to minimize time, waste, and expense.

Same thing in wood working. I'm no carpenter, but I can make sawdust. I'd starve as a carpenter or woodworker.

Had to do a quality audit on some V-8 aluminum heads. I was checking a critical area for gas bubbles in the casting. 3" facemill with six diamond tipped inserts, 4500rpm, 220ipm feedrate. Depth of cut was .039" with a total of seven cuts. I'd have to open the doors on the CNC mill after each cut to check for gas bubbles, plot their location and chart size and depth. Machine sounded like a wood chipper. [bleep] can happen quickly at those speeds... 😛
Yup - and farmers just toss a couple seeds on the ground, cover it with dirt - add water and PRESTO!!!!!!!!!! $4,000,000 in profit!!! Easy-peasy..

These big-city liberals have ZERO CLUES as to real-world life outside the city limits.... ZERO!
