Yeah, my customer in Seattle (restaurants) is down about 80%. Looks like it's going to be a couple more months. We live in interesting times, for sure.

Golden State Warriors are planning to play home games without fans - per ESPN

We will see how this plays out. How long will airlines keep operating with the risk to airport screeners and flight attendants?

Warranted or not, it’s going to be disruptive as hell. And as we learn more, some of it may turn out to be warranted. I have been reading many of the first hand reports coming from the medical community in Italy - and I think we may see some serious fallout from this before it’s over.
Posted By: MM879 Re: Seattle is fubar - 03/11/20
At 251 it will be declared a racist event. You will be required to pay reparations to yourself. This whole COVID-19 is a media scam. I've seen more contagious viruses in my local daycare.
Posted By: Stickfight Re: Seattle is fubar - 03/11/20
Suddenly for some, encouraging people to live in tent camps in your city that lack any provision for sanitation is looking like a bad idea.

Speaking of racism, I saw several blacks claiming their race has immunity to COVID-19 and that such a thing was evidence that the handful of chicken feathers and bones blacks pray to is providing them with reparations. Consider the matter settled.

From another source I read the view the COVID-19 is a plague sent by God to punish Boomers for their generation’s degeneracy. Boomers being disproportionately likely to die from it and being the worst actors from a social moral and environmental standpoint in recent memory.

If pressed to choose one of the two options I would select the latter even though it could mean my paying reparations to a race that benefited in every measurable way from its contact with the White man.

I hope this all subsides by mid-summer when we have our 50th anniversary cruise scheduled out of Seattle.

I was just in Seattle, probably got me some virus. Also made a flight to San Diego and Tucson, so just spreading it everywhere.

Yeah Cruise industry is screwed. I haven’t had any cancellations yet for charter fishing trips. Probably the safest place you can be is up here out on a fishing boat.

yea, I wouldn't be surprised if Trump implements some kind of paid leave for hourly service workers and tax breaks for business impacted by the virus.

I wonder if this schitt will clear the homeless camps out of Seattle and Portland?

Probably not.

MadMooner: As a "Seattle area native" (born, raised and lived the first 49 years of my life there) it is hard for me to imagine it getting "worse" than what it turned into in the 23 years since I left - but indeed that looks like the case!
The VarmintDaughter just now called me from Puyallup and said Seattle schools are indeed "shut down" for at least two weeks starting tomorrow (3-12-2,020).
Stay safe.
Hold into the wind

Schools are shut down here in our rural town about 50 miles or so north of Seattle. The kids don’t mind. Our son got his scholarship packet turned in before they closed the school so he made the deadline and doesn’t have to stress about it now. He and his buddy decided to take advantage of another beautiful and sunny day and they’re headed to one of the local lakes to do some fishing and absorb some vitamin D. 👍

Coyote season ends this weekend.
Covid supposedly hit employee next door.
If we shut down for two weeks....please let it be in turkey season.

Wrong state. In Idaho, coyotes are huntable year round. Wolf season is 8 months and in some areas year round.

No place in America for any democrat any more. The left, democrats, liberals, communist, socialist, hollywood, snowflakes, the media, and islamites they want power and control of the people. They hate Americans, the Constitution, and the USA. They are voting to destroy jobs, health care and health care jobs, they for communism, destroying the unborn and the just born, they are destroying prisons, they want to destroy the stock market, and they want to destroy all the energy sector jobs. They want to band all weapons. They are for open borders. They want very high 90% taxes to give free education, free food, free health care, and free housing to illegals or anyone too lazy to work. They wish to destroy the constitution and replace it.

The democrat anti-American/socialist policies, rules, regulations, and taxes will destroy America forever if we do not vote the democrats out of power in the 2020 election. They should be removed off all the ballots. They offer nothing for America or its people to make the country better.

Not construction so far. Other than supply chain issues, possibly, doubt it will have any effect on us. I've had 5 calls in the last week for custom homes

Washington is at 29 deaths as of this afternoon. Washington state health says 3,037 people have been tested for the virus with 366 positive results.

I can't understand why so few tests have been run.
Posted By: Aagaardsporter Re: Seattle is fubar - 03/12/20
Test kits were not available on large scale until the last couple of days. In Michigan a referral from your MD or local health department is needed to be tested and have the sample processed.

Safe yes. Getting to said boat from lower 48.... Wonder how our guiding will go. Finally opened catch and release king salmon and now everyone is afraid of their shadow.

I wonder if I can even get home to AK in May at this rate. I've been dealing with serious medical issues with Mom and just keep delaying going back and even skipped guiding a bear hunt because of it.

IF flights are still going I bet it will be leg stretching room and breeze through the airports.

I actually suspect most of the panic will be behind us come May though.
