Anyone know where I can find a decent Carbide Burr Set for a decent price? All the ones I have found are rather expensive. The set I had was stolen.
... Still need that new Tool forum.
Thanks.

I did a quick Google. First five hits. First was Amazon $20-$30.Carbide tooling isn't cheap
Check out a,place called Drill Hog USA.......
Haha. Couldn’t stand it. 😂🤣😂
Bunch of smartasses on here.
Check Grizzly Industrial and Baileigh Industrial
I'm sure they're just made in China...but maybe Taiwan...no brand name, sold by McMaster-Carr , internet order,,,,1/4 " cylindrical double cut for air tools. Toughest I've found. I frequently weld up bucket pin bosses on heavy equipment and fill an ovaled hole with 7018 or 8018 and then hand grind them round. Tough on burrs. Last time I bought ten for 140 bucks, that's pretty good price I thought.
Check on the big distributors. I have a set from MAC truck. Use em a lot at work and they warranty them when we burn them up. don’t take long for it to be cheaper than buying cheap ones. Check but I think I gave $140 for a set of 4 burrs. Not sure if matco and snap-on have same warranty
Several 8-piece sets on Ebay- - - -1/4" shanks, priced from $20.00 to $30.00 a set. 1/8" shank Dremel style are a lot less expensive than that.

Thanks Fellers. I need the 1/4" shank. I'll take a look at the ones you've mentioned.
I have a bunch.....70/80 or more
Some came from Gesswein some from Congress tools but most from MSC
I remember an Aaron Burr.
It'll take some looking to find a decent single fluted set for under a hundred bucks. Most of the sets in this price range are double cut. I can't find a McMaster-Carr set, only individual burrs. The rest are too expensive.
Try MSC industrial suppliers! They used to sell a 6 piece set. Dont know where they were made, but nice carbide!
What shape and what are you cutting?
Length?
1/4" shank. Single cut, cylindrical, cones, inverted cone, tree, oval, ball - pretty much what comes in a 6-8 piece set, but the cylindrical and tree shaped are probably the most important.
I use them for projects like porting cast iron headers, deburring, other automotive use and any projects that come up. Standard length. Thanks.
Cant help you with cheap 1/4"
I only use 1/8" and most days when free unclogged cutting is required I use an 1/8" two flute carbide ball end mill
