A friend of mine has an Inland M1 Carbine that has an aftermarket folding paratrooper style stock. He would like to return the rifle to its original condition; how can you tell if that includes a folding stock or a regular full length stock, and are there originals out there?

Thanks for your help.

Bookmarked for period check.
The DCM in Anniston, Ala. rebuilds Garands, 03s, and Carbines, and others.

I don't know if the sell parts or not, but it might be a good place to check.

They are pricey, but have great product. Good folks from the information on the CMP forums. Old Doug
