A friend of mine has an Inland M1 Carbine that has an aftermarket folding paratrooper style stock. He would like to return the rifle to its original condition; how can you tell if that includes a folding stock or a regular full length stock, and are there originals out there?

Try "Gun List", "Shotgun News" first so that pro gun companies are supported first.

The DCM in Anniston, Ala. rebuilds Garands, 03s, and Carbines, and others.
I don't know if the sell parts or not, but it might be a good place to check.
