Anyone have a good experience mailing a barreled action for bluing? Local guys are all only doing cerakote or have a 6 month back up.
Glenrock isn't cheap, but I think they're the best.

Thx!
Playing devil's advocate here, but have you considered doing it yourself? Rust bluing gives a beautiful classic finish (and some claim that it's more durable than hot bluing), and can be done with minimal equipment and without the use of dangerous caustic chemicals. It's not rocket science and all it really requires is sweat equity.

You're not wrong. I've done smaller projects with cold blue in the garage. But this time I'm going to let a pro polish, sharpen, and hot blue them. I'll invest my sweat in the stocks.
Don't discount the merits of a good Rust Re-BLUE. Hint.

Most so-called gunsmiths are actually gun mechanics and they will buff the writing right off the gun with a buffing wheel, then give her a hot blue job.

It's like painting a house, prep is a biggie and most of the work.

You gets what you pays for.
Fhuqk alllllll The Fluff and pass the substance, while Window Licking tears flow. Hint................
Again for Glenrock Bluing, among the best.
They're off to Ahlman's. By the time they get back (1-2 months), the stocks will be all done and ready for range time.

Thanks again for the recs, y'all.
