OP clockwork_7mm Campfire Tracker C Joined: Dec 2019 Posts: 4,680	Anyone have a good experience mailing a barreled action for bluing? Local guys are all only doing cerakote or have a 6 month back up.

Rust bluing gives a beautiful classic finish (and some claim that it's more durable than hot bluing), and can be done with minimal equipment and without the use of dangerous caustic chemicals. But this time I'm going to let a pro polish, sharpen, and hot blue them. I'll invest my sweat in the stocks.

It's like painting a house, prep is a biggie and most of the work. You gets what you pays for. Imagine a corporate oligarchy so effective, so advanced and fine tuned that its citizens still call it a democracy.
