Does anyone make a Fiberglass, composite, Kevlar anything heavy duty stock for an older Ruger M77 tang safety long action? I have a 7mm mag tang safety Ruger and need a new stock. Thanks

Brown Precision makes a great one in either regular or kevlar layup. It is pricey however, I have 2 in 'pounder layup (kevlar) and love them.

I think I sent them an email and they no longer make tang safety stocks. I’ll send again.

Maybe contact Banser. He was talking about inletting for Rugers soon.

McMillan no longer makes them. I always thought I should buy one for my 30-06 tanger but found other things to buy.
So I am interested in this thread to see what the guys come up with.

Ok. Brown Does make replacement stocks on fiberglass, graphite and Kevlar. 6-8 month wait.

I have a couple original wood ones in good shape, somewhat used if interested. Dings and scratches, never refinished. I think one was glass bedded, the other not.

Their replacements were synthetic, for customers.

Both my tangers are wearing wood.

Check out Oregon Precision. They list a Ruger stock in several layups. Also Wildcat out of Canada lists one however, I don't know if they can export to the States.

I have a Bansner on my M77 RS 35 Whelen. Bought some years ago. I do not know if he still makes one.

I see Boyd’s makes a drop in wood and laminate tanger. Anyone try them?
