It seems the street price of Wilson NULAs has raised the prices of Fieldcraft. That or people are starting to wonder if Barrett is actually going to bring them back. I hope they (Barrett) reintroduce them at SHOT.

I'd happily pay more for a used fieldcraft than go new nula.

Nothing against Bill Wilson but I prefer stainless and ADL. plus the Wilson bolt knob isn't for me.

Glad I kept my 6.5 fieldcraft and should have my ass kicked for selling my 6mm.
Posted By: Remington280 Re: Unicorn Fieldcraft - 01/12/24
I'll be glad to purchase another fieldcraft if they start v producing again.
Posted By: alwaysoutdoors Re: Unicorn Fieldcraft - 01/12/24
It feels like a win for the buyer if they can buy the same gun in SS for the same price not to mention the twist rates.

No short action unicorn 7-08 or .308 is worth that kind of coin. YMMV
Posted By: alwaysoutdoors Re: Unicorn Fieldcraft - 01/12/24
If a Wilson NULA is $2800 , why not, Brother WAM?
Posted By: WAM Re: Unicorn Fieldcraft - 01/12/24
Couple on GB for $2,450 have no bids, so overpriced IMO
Posted By: alwaysoutdoors Re: Unicorn Fieldcraft - 01/13/24
What about the the other two active listings, Brother WAM?

NIB 25/06 at $3225 currently

Used 7/08 at $3207

A 99% with box 243 brought $4,000 (highest I’ve seen one sell for)
Closed 11/26/23 on Gunbroker

Doesn't look like many people, wish to part-ways with their 6.5 CM's

Wish I still had mine. Not because I miss it but so I could sell it!

Crazy.

Gun prices are out the roof!
For $3k, I could buy a decent rifle and put a top quality optic on it.

Sold

Last month a 25/06 went for $1800, the 6.5x55 has zero bids as does the CM. I can't figure it out.

Meh. Mere skirmish.

That nula 338 federal - that was a damn war! 😂

Things like this make me think about selling my Fieldcraft. I mean I like it, but with that much money I could buy my favorite kind of rifle in my favorite caliber. (A new one, and a new one.) wink

With money left over for a scope and cookies.

I don’t get it. I mean they’ve already said they’re gonna make them again. Might be a little different but I bet it’s not gonna be much.

Hopefully and if so I'd like to see 22 CM.

Well, I’ll second that but I think $1800 is a pipe dream. With the cost of everything increasing since they left the market, I have to think it would be a 50% increase; if not double. And that’s IF they actually come back.

Not and stay in business. The company has pulled some bone headed schit in the past, stopping production when demand was high, so let's see what happens now.

Agreed. I was betting somewhere between $2500-3000. Again....IF they actually start making them again. How long has hope been held for this to happen now??

Folks saw this one go for $3,700 so they listed theirs.

Two more for your viewing pleasure!

The funny part is the company that purchased Barrett wants to get the Fieldcraft back out on the market as one of the first initiatives after buying them out.

The new Barrett owner said at SHOT ‘23 that they were going to bring it back this year. We shall see.

I really like mine, and finally killed a couple deer with it in November, but $3k would probably get it. Ain’t putting it out there though. It just works, one of the very few rifles that didn’t need anything except thrown together handloads, which shoot much better than the Hornady factory I tried.

Someone rebored (by JES) a 6mm to 358. It's threaded and listed on gunbroker
