I don't know if they are doing a 1-8" Superlite but have seen pictures of the regular T3X Lite in that twist. If they do have a SL in that twist that would be a nice rifle.

I don't see a Superlite at EuroOptic.

The attached still shows it as a 1-10" twist. I know they make a .243 SL just not in 8 twist that I have seen.

SL's are only available at Sportsmans with black stocks and Cabelas with a camo stock I believe.

If you cross ref the "MPN JRAXSL15" on the Sportman's site to the official Tikka site, it shows a 1:8" twist...

Well then that would be awesome if they hit the shelves!! I don't really need another .243 but that one could be fun - thanks for the link much obliged!
I picked up a Tikka 243 win from BassPro with an 1:8 twist. It's not a Superlite.

Not sure about Right Hand. Sportsmans is the only place I could find with new Left Hand T3x Super Lights in stock.

Not a Sportsmans fan. Even with buying and paying on line and having all paperwork in hand, it still took nearly an hour to pickup the rifle on a weekday afternoon with only one other customer in the Gun Department... Typical scenario. One clerk waiting on two customers. And literally three other clerks standing around watching and bull chitting...
You want to go put your hands on the rifle you are buying and verify twist rate. I went to a large Va retailer looking to buy a 1/8 twist ember 243. Looking at the website the only way they come. Get to the store display model was a 1/10 twist. I asked if they had more in the back which they had 5 more. 4 of the guns were 1/8 twist 2 were 1/10. All with the same product number. Not the 1st time I’ve seen that with Tikka either. Evidently it’s common in 22 cal and 6mm barrels.
Would love to have one of those and rechamber it to 6mm AI. With the long action, would have plenty of room for long bullets
Curious what bullet you want to hunt with that an 10 twist won't stabilize?

The Hornady 105 bthp and 108 eld m are wonderful 6mm bullets that require faster than a 10. With a 10 I like 95 nbt a lot.
105 lapua scenar. I’ve had issues getting most of the 100gr offerings to shoot well in my 1/10 guns.
105 VLD…which is a stone cold killer near and far.

An 8 twist is awesome, don't get me wrong. I had one in my hands last summer, and should have bought it. Priced at $750.00 for a stainless lite. However, if you can't shoot 100gr pills out of a standard 243 win, you have some serious issues. If you can't kill with a simple 100gr btsp, you and your rifle need to take up golf. Keep schidt simple, and you can kill easily out to 500 yards with no issues.

I can see if you wanted to make nice shots on animals at 800 yards, switch to a higher BC pill, but guys have been getting it done with lighter projectiles in the 243 for years.

Schidt don't get any more simpler than this:

New rifle I've been messing with, with a cheap Burris FFII 3-9x40 with ballistic plex reticle and a cheap $21/box Hornady 100 BTSP Interlock bullet:

It lays them in there just fine at 500 yards too, as tested. You guys feel free to post some of your 400 yard groups, with your higher bc pills from your 243's.

Another example. The girlfriends Model 70 classic compact, shooting the same load, using the same type of scope:

I love Tikka's, and like the fact they are making an 8 twist, but to say that is absolutely necessary, is total bullshchidt. Most people/hunters are not going to be shooting over 400 yards on a big game animal. No hubbles needed, and you don't even have to twist turrets. Keep your hunting rigs light, simple and effective. Don't overthink it..

Those that don't think that cheap azzed combo shown above won't cut it, are delusional..
Good shooting , yeah , I like the 100 gr stuff too , with either twist
85 gr sierra hpbt is a sweety too

It's not "absolutely necessary," but high BC sure makes life easier when the wind blows, even at 300-500 yards.

Plus it's just fun to try new stuff for me. I'd never pick a 1-10 Tikka over a 1-8 sitting on the shelf, but I have a few 1-10 243's and a couple others that are faster and a 6 ARC and Creed. The 108's in the 6 ARC are quite a pile of fun in an AR. Wished I'd been issued one of them years ago!

Haven’t bought a rifle from them but picked up 4 scopes from them in the last 3 months. Extremely impressed with their service, great place to deal with.
105gr hpbt’s are cheaper than anything else in its class, accurate as hell in my guns and kill good on med size game we hunt. Reason enough alone to go 1-8” in .243/6mm offerings.

At .38c/ea and seem to always be available which is a huge plus these days. They’re damn near worth building a gun around.

I have one factory Remington in .243 that will spin them and one that won’t. The next barrels will be 1/8. The 105 is a great bullet.
I have one of the Howa 6CM’s I put into a McM and man it hammers with them and SB6.5. One of the rifles I should give more attention too.
