They look like this
To be fair, I don't think those technically qualify as a thong.
Im just wondering where that loop gets attached in the back. And how.
Id best go ask a .270 shooter.
Schit,just can't escape the "gay." Say that cause I own/shoot both a .270 and 7x57. That's according to M77 and G-12.
Yeahthat Cruise Ship for you has sailed.
Well thank you. I was about to make some pancakes for breakfast, and now my appetite is GONE!
Major ICKKK! factor. Just...... gross x 100
Yeah,that'sssss the worse newsssss todaysssss.
Snap fingers and twirl.

You know they were invented in Montana, right?

They look like two "fruit loops" to me.
Ain't no way those dude's could muster what it takes to shoot a 7X57.
lol
Man, I'm selling out and moving to 8x57-land!
500G tells me that is a sling.
Google that
https://www.google.com/search?q=bat...bm=isch&q=swimsuit+sling&spell=1And we see what is holding it up.
That is seriously phuoced up.
Actually it is quite easy to tell when someone shoots a 7x57. There's always something dead laying nearby. No yarns, confusion, disappointment, nothing like that. Just dead critters. They have even been known to just drop dead at the sight of that cartridge on the African plains.
Nothing like that happens with the .270. I know this because neighbors actually admit in public that they own such things. It seems to me a lot like going grocery shopping with a sex toy hanging around your neck. Wearing a thong.
Some things are best left unknown.
They must have bump their head.
500G tells me that is a sling.
So it's the "other Montana sling"
I get it now....

I am focusing on how much satisfaction there would be in helping those "boys"(???) install the aft attachment point.......

I was going to ask you the same thing.
Now in seriousness, i never knew that site existed, however i have to wonder about it. If there are enough "gay hunters". To warrant a forum, i would venture maybe more than a few of them think alot like some of us as far ad our love for hunting and guns, and the current political schit storm, and maybe we should strive to be a bit more accepting.
Don't those guys usually wear a beret when they hunt?
They look like this
Typical Yank, can't even tell the difference between 7x57 shooters and 270 shooters.
I'm thinking sling-wearers choose the .223AI, to avoid the brutal recoil of the .270, and the 7x57 (there, I am being nice)
I hate to criticize, but those look like sissy drinks.
I wish I would have never seen this thread. I'm selling all of my rifles and keeping just my 375 H&H!!
Yeah, those 7x57 owners are a complicated lot.
I wonder what sites you surf to run across pictures like that.
I've never seen anything like it
Google images "bathing suit sling" with turn up that pic and lots more.
Those pics remind me... my brother in law looks so much like Borat, no one is supposed to mention it.
There is just something not right......
270=GAY
7x57=COOL or UBER!
Some of you 'boys' need rehab...

You really need to watch those typos! I don't wanna hafta 'fix' more of your posts. but for this one you can thank me later
The 7x57mm cartridge is not gay.
But there are some queer cartridges out there.
Do not load these into your rifle.

Schit, think it's about time to buy either .270 or 7mm Mauser just to get back in my "rifle slut" groove.
Maybe..heaven forbid....even.....a push feed Winchester M 70...Featherweight....
Heck man, why bother with the sissy stuff, go for broke and step up to a 7x64 Brenneke.
All the cool of a 7mm and the performance of a 270 (but a really manly one).
It's still Euro trash.
Might as well go all the way up to a 9.3x64 then.
Yes, but it is old really cool Euro trash!

HEY! never thought of the 7x64. Mauser makes that cartridge in it's Model 12.
IF and a big IF,I do get a 7x64 will the "gay" go away?

Mauser 12, Sauer 101. But why not just have your .270 opened up to .280? That way you're neither gay or Euro-trash. It's a win/win.
I'll bet even Ingwe would own one if it looked like this.
But it ain't a .270. It's a .358 Win.
Well,Rev that would mean I'm down to just two .270's and can't let that happen.
Sako and Blaser also make a 7x64.
Something to think about. Not making any promises, because by tomorrow it'll be something different.

You too, huh?
Yes,drives my family NUTS!
I hear that! My wife says, "Sure, last one. I've heard that before."
My wife says "If you still want XYZ 2 weeks from now, then we will see about getting XYZ." I don't last 2 days!
Right now the itch is a Sako Varmint 6mm PPC. It's been a week,I'm almost THERE! YAY!
764 and A-Max would be pretty impressive

Never said it would not
Friend of mine owns a Mauser66 in 764 and were thinking of loading some A-maxs for him. I own both the 6.557 and 757, guess it might indicate which case I prefer
gitem_12 - gettin this out late... "loop gets attached in the back" Best guess is super glued to a butt plug. Homesteader
This is how far out I seat a 160 gr NP in my CZ 550 7x57.
This is what I'm getting with it at 100 yds.
The CZ 550 American chambered for 7x57mm Mauser.

Thanks, but Ingwe was the one concered with how it attaches,
Did you ever try them seated shorter?
No. The CZ has a .30-06(3.340") length magazine. I started long and shortened the OAL until it fed into the chamber without any problems.
Ruger chambered the 7x64 in a 77 Mark II....
Next to my Ruger 9.3x62
Both stocks were reworked by Karnis.
Thank you sir.
Oh, you were speaking of the rifles!

Well, you own them, so there must be a reason.

NICE!
What is your load for the 7x64?
Here, here!
And now to get the Poob's attention!
I had one of those 77s in 7x64. It shot sub MOA with PMC 160 gr factory ammo. Gave it to a friend for Christmas a few years back. It was simply inferior to the 7x57.
No. The CZ has a .30-06(3.340") length magazine. I started long and shortened the OAL until it fed into the chamber without any problems.
The reason I asked is because the load may shoot better with the bullets seated deeper. You could be leaving something on the table by assuming less jump is always best.
The other day with one of my 308's I fired ten shots at 100 yards, and the outside of the whole cluster fits completely under a dime. The bullets were jumping over 0.1" to the lands.

Honestly Mathman,it shoots good enough for me.
I can't help but tinker, even with my hunting rifles. My shooting budget could be smaller if I could avoid it.
Completely understand Mathman.
I started out with 140 gr NP's,then went to 175 gr Rem PSP's,then went and tried 175 gr NP Semi-Spitzer's. Had a few 160 gr NP's laying around and just thought "What the hell,I'll try these and see what happens."
The 175's shoot better,but I'm a speed freak.
But the 175s kill anything...
And the trajectory is not near as bad as one would thinkan easy 300 yd gun.
True and duly noted. But I've killed deer, elk, coyotes, antelope, with the 160 gr NP and it's my favorite in a 7mm caliber.

I'm certainly going to run a few into some porkers just to see how they perform.
The CZ still shoots the 175's better,if that makes you feel any better.
I just need to have an Ingwe Special built to run them through.
Well..duh..
Can't find anyone to build one. Gonna have to call Dakota and start saving some Benjis.
If it aint a push feed model 70it aint an Ingwe Special.

Fine,I'll leave it as is.
Do have another 7x57 in the gunsafe though.

I tried to translate it into a bastid form of english at least...
I appreciate that.
Seeing your No 1 reminds me that I have one sitting under a Leupold VX3 1.5-5 that I haven't even shot yet. I need to get to that. There are pigs just waiting to be shot.
That actually wasn't my #1it was a 1-S borrowed from 7x57 Steve in .38-55pretty fuggin sweet rig.
THIS is my #17x57 of course..

I like it!!! Too bad you gave it das boot.
I will admit to having purchased and shot a Brno ZG47 .270 some time in the past, I quickly disposed of it when I found myself evincing an unhealthy interest in ladies high heels...I have since returned to the fold and have long been steadily purchasing good leather work boots.
It was touch and go but I managed to stay on the manly side...on the other hand I did sell it to my brother...and his marriage did founder.
Should I feel guilty?
Yes,your brother would've had a better marriage if he owned more than one .270.
I've been married for 17 years and I own 3-.270's.

Ah...you have the same size shoe as your wife.
Yes, I do.
Actually the Zg47 is a very accurate rifle and my brother Martin wouldn't part with it...I sold it to him cheap so that he would have good gear to shoot with.
I gave him a couple of scopes and sent him on his way with a 1958 Brno model 5 as well.
When the silly woman flew apart the rifles came back up to me in case she tried to get her hands on them...he has them back.
Great, love it when firearms are united with their owners!
Were it anyone else but my brother I would not have parted with the rifle in the first place.
The one on the left is Martin's ZG47 .270.
Nice, just love those older rifles. They have "character."
That is also my feeling on the matter, a shame they cost a lot more than most of the modern stuff.
But you get what you pay for.
Son and I went to a El Paso gunstore to look around and found two rifles.
1) Pre '64 Winchester M 70 .264 Win MAg with a Leupold 3-9x scope. The serial # dated it to 1960 and the scope was probably the same age. Price $1750
2) Springfield M 1903 re-barreled to .270. This one has peep sights and has NOT been drilled and tapped for a scope. It has engraving that is WOW! The original safety has been dis-connected and a tang safety is on it. Price $1100
You are fortunate you can access so much for so cheap, my last Brno model 21 cost over three grand, you would be shocked at what good older firearms go for here, the rubbish is worthless but the good gear is worth a pretty penny.
I would dearly like to wander through Canada and peruse the firearms shops as I would bet London to a brick they have some terrific older firearms lurking about.
That actually wasn't my #1it was a 1-S borrowed from 7x57 Steve in .38-55pretty fuggin sweet rig.
ay, ay, ay...a .38-55 is on my bucket list, they are very rare.
Here's another impossibly accurate #1. It makes big holes, too

You know JSTUART,the new generation of shooters just don't know what they are missing IMO.
How do you know when someone shoots a 7x57?
It sounds like a loud fart, but you don't smell anything?
I've been married for 17 years and I own 3-.270's.

Hey Ingwe, serious question. When you had your Featherweight "expressed", did you have the forend shortened? Or did you just keep the OAL including the black forend tip?

My wife and I just bought a long-overdue new house (new to us, anyway). It has a very large yard and came with a zero-turn John Deere mower. When she saw it, she said, "That's mine." Fine with me. Now I need to buy her a Bombay Bowler to keep the sun off her face.

Chuckle, not sure your target but thought I'd share "pith" is correct, as in a plant fiber that the helmets are/were made from originally and covered with cloth, hence pith helmets.
