I have 8 thirty calibers
Six 7mm’s
Six 6.5’s.
Five 22’s
Eight 30 cal
Six 7mm
Four .22 cal rimfires
35s followed by 338s
#1 - 3 .223 Rem ( AR, bolt gun, and a Contender)
#2 - 2 .375 (H&H and an AI)

If .22 RF’s are in the mix - a lot!
1 @ 40cal
2 @ 30cal
3 @ .284
2 @ .277
1 @ .264
2 @ .243
4 @ .22

I guess .22 wins here.
22 LRs outnumber all other caliber/cartridges in our house ..............by double.

In center fires, the .308" bore size in in 2nd place, but it's spread out over 4 different shells. 30-30, 308, 30-06 and 300H&H.
It used to also include 30-40 Krag, 7.5 Swiss, 300 Savage, 300 Win Mag and 308 Norma Mag, but I have sold or traded those guns all away.

As of right now, the most common center fire cartridge which I still I have rifles for is the 308 Win.
Five 33s

one 338 Mag
three 338-06
one 338-08 AI

Also 5 30s if I count the 30 carbine pistol
22LR's are like Lays potato chips.
Twelve .284's
Twelve .308's
Six .30s
Six .35s.
Five .45s.
I have more rifles in .308 bore than any others, but seem to shoot them the least... crazy
I have two 308s which is interesting because of my centerfires, the 308 is my least favorite round, but I enjoy the short action rifles I can get with that round. Only centerfire rounds I have multiple of. I have two 22LRs but one is broken at the moment, and I have two 12gauges.
Most of My rifles are chambered in 300 Win and .300 WSM.......Hb
Ok then,,,, I have -[Two-2]- Bolt Action Rifles, 1@ 30-06, & [email protected]
I also have -[Two-2]- Lever Action Rifles, 1@ 30-06 & 1@ .375

If the answer isn't .30-06, you can consider yourself gay.... smile
Four 375 H&H.

Three Belted Magnum magazine Rifles, one original H&H.

One set H&H 375 Flanged Mag barrels with my 500/450 3 1/4” double.
8mm and 9mm....I think.

By far .30 caliber. The cartridge a have the most rifles in is the .300 Savage.

Jack
Not counting .22lr pistols then it's definitely .223's for me
Bolt rifles-- 5 in .30-06, 1 in .308 W, 1 in .303 British, Semi-auto -- 1 in .30-06(Garand)2 in 7.62X39, 1 in .223, several .22 LR. My gun safe has custody of a .243W and a .270W that I use occasionally.
Five .22s: 3 LRs, a .223, and a Hornet.

Left out the handguns, since this is a rifle forum.
270 Win.
You guys sound like hoarders. I have 4 .30 calibers and feel like that is too many. The only duplicate cartridge that I have is two 308 Win. One is a bolt and one is a lever.
.30 cal and only one less in .35's.
.22 and 7mm, followed by 6mm
.308, .284, and .257 are the main three big game calibers for me with .224 as numerous for other stuff.
I guess I’m a gun hoarder.
5 in .308"... everything else is an also-ran.
.224" - 5
.308" - 4
.458" - 1

All the chamberings are current or former military. Not by deliberate choice, but it just worked out that way. 223, 308, 30-06, 45-70.
Maybe we can get our own T. V. show combining guns and hoarders. laugh
22LR and 38 special. then 6.5's.

30-06 is a cartridge not a caliber
I own one
I'm considered straight as long as I don't own a 270. grin
BTW my '06 is a old Remington 760. I've hunted Elk with it.
I herewith apply for extra credit.

Well, if you count the "close cousins" (.348, .351, .357, 9mm) I think the .35s are my winner at 14:

.348 Win x 2
.351 Win SL
.357 Mag
.357 Maximum
9x57R
.35 Rem
.356 Win
.358 Win x 2
.35 Whelen
.350 Rem Mag
.358 Norma Mag
.358 STA
.30 caliber, 6
What if we don't count close cousins? Surely you have other than those.
.224 by a large margin
.284 and .308 are tied for second place.
.30 caliber with 7. The venerable .30-06 cartridge leads the pack accounting for 3 of the 7.

Seems like I'm missing 1 or 2. I have a few 22's but didn't count'em nor handguns!
It’s a tie between 270wsm and 308win.

Have one of each.
From memory and not actually going to look there are. I have sold off a dozen or so rifles lately so the numbers are down frown. Not counting the single calibers like the 338, 416 or 500 BPE etc.

The most common caliber in my safe by far is 30 caliber. They range from 30 Carbine up to 300 Weatherby at the moment.

The most common 30 caliber cartridge is probably 303 Savage with 300 Savage close behind. 30 Remington and 30/06 would be tied for third.

The most common cartridge in the safe is a tie between 303 British and 223 Rem. Smellys tend to grow on you especially back when they were so cheap.
7mm, specifically three 7x64 Brenneke.
Right now it's .30 calibers.....two rifles in .308 Winchester, two rifles in .30-06 and one in .300 H&H
#1 = .22-cal
#2 = .26-cal
#3 = .24-cal
Everything else is tied for last place. :-)

.45-70s and .44s...many other calibers, but less of each.
I have more .308 calibers than others.

No accurate count but 22 cal leads around here....various rim and centerfires.
.22 by far
Only thing I have more than two of is 243. M700 and Mossberg Patriot. I don't really like doubling up an rifle's in the same cartridge.

For some reason I really like the x57 case. I am trying to build or collect all the variants on the x57 case. Still need a 6 mm REM, and a 257 bob. Two of my current stock are most likely going to be made in to the last two I need.
Oh and I need a 9x57 but I am not sure I'm going to do that one unless I do it as a 358x57, bullets for a true 9mm is like 356 and are a pain to get.
M8x57
well an even 10 - 30cal a mix of
4 - 30-30, 3 - 308, 2 - 30-06, 1 - 30-40
followed by
8 - 35 cal, if we are including revolvers the the 35's jump to 13
than 7 22's

My correct answer is .284. (7mm)
I have more .22 rimfires than anything else. I don't shoot them all that often, but they seem to be breeding in the gun room anyway. grin

More 6mm than any other caliber.

More .223 Rem than any other chambering.
At the moment, 7mm though I like .30 caliber more.
Used to be the 40 calibers once, but I trimmed the rack and expanded the bullet types to cover the same needs.
John
Six total in 22: 223, 22-250, 22 WMR, three - 22 LR (one rifle, two pistols), Next would be centerfire 7mm: 7-08, 7-08AI, 7 wsm. Two 6mm (243s) - starting to really like this cartridge as an all-arounder.

7mm’s lead the way in my safe.
Never had the funds to keep them all, so had to trade one(or 2) for something different & always wanting to try new stuff, or old stuff. Have had ("almost all ") now down to probably what I'll die with, but would really like to try a 257 weatherby!!?? Ten .30 caliber rifles varying chambers ranging from .300 BLK, .30-30 Win, .30-40 Krag, .300 Savage, .308 Win, .30-06 to .300 H&H. My .224 rifles are all chambered in .223 Rem and I have five of those.
