.300BLK (S&W AR)

.30-06 (Ruger M77 and MKII, Remington M700)
.300 WM
===============
8 total

I don't even care for ARs, but have 3 total. Should probably sell all but the Ruger Scout and .300WM, but plan to pass most of my rifles down to daughters and grandkids. Oldest is 5 so it will be a while.

The .300WM get used the most - by far. It was also my first .30.
I have 4.

M700 300H&H
M700 308 custom in an Edge
M760 308 Carbine
M7600 30-06

Does a 303 British and a 7.62x39 count?
Yeah, only 4 here.

30/30 Savage 99
300 Savage Rem 700 Classic
.308 Savage 99
.308 Kimber Montana
Yep, im a .30 cal whore too:
1 300 Win
2 300 WSM's
2 30-06's
1 308 Win
It also makes my reloading bench a little more simple as i dont have to inventory a bunch of different diameter bullets like i used too 👍.....Hb
They seem to accumulate.

Remington 700 left hand KS Mtn Rifle 300 H&H
Browning BAR 30-06
BSA Majestic 308
Custom Krag 30-40
Winchester 64 30-30
Marlin 336 30-30

I think that's all of them.
Killing machines, they are.
I have 5

300 BO, AR
30-30, Marlin
300 Savage, Savage 99
308, TC Encore
30-06, Savage 116

Now don't get me started on the 7mm

7BR, XP-100
7X57 Mauser, Custom Turk Mauser
7-08, Browning A-Bolt
7-08AI, Tikka T3

Getting the itch for another 257 Roberts, and have not been able to find a 29 BS chambered rifle yet. grin
I'm down to 5. 3 of them are 30-06.
I have 9. Or 14

Are we counting .30 calibers or .30 firearms?

(if .311-.312 counts as 30 cal, I have 13. Or 18. Maybe more, I dunno)
.30 Carbine - Marlin 62
.303 Savage - Savage 99
.300 Savage - Remington 700 BDL
.307 Win - Winchester 94
.30-40 Krag - Ruger No. 3
7.5x55 Swiss - T/C Encore
.300 H&H Mag - Winchester 70
.308 Norma Mag - Parker Hale 1200
3 M1 Garands,
1903A3 and an
M1 Carbine.
We don't have a big calling for 30 calibers in Iowa. Targets and coyotes only.

kwg
I had two .30-30s for quite awhile, then they introduced the Creed. I felt so inadequate I sold them.
.30 cal let me count!! At least 10.. Best caliber made!!
I'm right there with you. I've got 6 .30 cal rifles, after swearing 25 years ago I would never own one. My favorite caliber is .284, and I am down to one, my .280 Rem.

At one time I even had a .308 Marlin and .300 BLK barrel for my Encore, an H&R Handirifle in .30-30, and a bunch more .30-06 rifles like an 03A3 sporter, Savage 110, M700, JC Higgins M50, and 3 more M70 Classics.
30/30
7.62x39 AR and CZ bolt
2- 30/06 tikka and M77

Have a 30-06 that was my first rifle and a 300 Weatherby Rifles Inc Strata. Can’t say I really use either of them. The 06 was my first rifle, so has some sentimental value. The strata I got a good deal on, but I’m just not a fan of the caliber (I don’t reload, so it’s just too expensive and obscure for me to get ammo). It’s a nice rifle otherwise, but would probably let it go to a new home if someone made me the right offer on it.

Almost built a 300 win, but went for 7mm Rem mag.
I have a few and they work.

Forgot about my old 30-30. Make that 6.
30 WCF.....99
2 30-06’s. 77 MKII and 1928 win model 54
2 30-30’s. 336 and 94
I will count them after I list the ones I have. I only have six. I gave my son a 308 with a Hart barrel.

1 - 30-30
4 - 30.06
1 - 308 Norma
2 - 308
3 - 30-06
1 - 300 WM
1 - 300BO

I don’t ever intend to shoot the 300WM. It’s a Stevens 200 I bought for the action. It’s extremely light and betting it recoils more than I would like. This is the only donor I’ve ever not shot.
One thing about the .30's - few if any other calibers are as versatile, and IMHO no .30 matches the .30-06 in that category.

I totally concur with your opinion.

I have had many 30s (NOT mini). 30/30, 308, 06 s, & 300 WM s.
Now I only have 2.
1 30-06, & 1 300 WM

IMO - an 06 & a 300 WM covers the spectrum.

Jerry
Currently down to 3.

Marlin 336 30-30
Howa 30-06
MRC 1999 308 Norma

Have had a pile of them, somehow whittled it down. Rifle loony is a sickness.
30-30 X1
308. X2
30-06 X2
300WM X1

Other than 25 and 27, i have 22-338 covered.
Multiples of some of those.

Right now, I have ideas of my one perfect rifle.
It's a 308 or 30-06.

Of course anything between 260 and 300 mag might suffice! wink

And a Blackout or 7.62x39 have appeal in a semi.

Like you, I have .22-338 pretty well covered. Missing .277, .311, .323. Might rnd up with a .277 someday, .311 and .323 doubtful. Also have ..375, 44 and .458 rifles.

My idea of a "perfect rifle depends a lot on intended usage. Very slowly putting together a 6.5PRC on a Savage action and factory birch stock. Not the perfect platform but more than good enough and the cartridge looks great for 95% of my purposes.

And that’s just the rifles....Oh well smile
I probably have 15 just 30-06s. From 1st gen ti, to custom serengeti match chambered brux and rock creek builds to 1909 argentines, other 98s, 03a3s, and a bunch of JC Higgins on fn commercials and similar NATO arms and colt 57s. Not to mention 300wsms, 300 wins, 30-30, 308s, and 300 blackouts.

And I don't even think 30 bullets are all that great. I prefer 6.5s and 7mms. Although my custom 300 wsm with 215 hybrids seems to be what I've hunted with the most the last few years. I just love the little rifle and it shoots everything great. Brux interrupted fluted 24" #4 on a stiller predator. Centerfeed wyatt's box only holds 2 down but I've never needed more than 1 yet.
