I've been wading through a thread on Cast Boolits on DIY Blackpowder.

It's been going for over 10 years. Guys on there have been making powder that compares well with commercial (Goex, Swiss, etc.)

Has anyone here made their own?

I have a hard time lighting a fire with a match!

Have fun. A near-disaster in my youth involving the scraping of roll caps made a big impression on me…..😱

Dang! The room got suddenly quiet.

I've got a book on making your own blackpowder, but I've never cared enough to give it a try or blow myself up trying

Liked the video music meh.

As kids we made black powder out of charcoal and sulphur and saltpeter that we could buy at the corner drug store. It was pretty crude but went “boom” in our homemade fireworks.
