I've been wading through a thread on Cast Boolits on DIY Blackpowder. https://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?103852-My-homemade-black-powderIt's been going for over 10 years. Guys on there have been making powder that compares well with commercial (Goex, Swiss, etc.) Has anyone here made their own?

Have fun. A near-disaster in my youth involving the scraping of roll caps made a big impression on me…..😱
What fresh Hell is this?

Will Munny: It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have.
The Schofield Kid: Yeah, well, I guess they had it coming.
Will Munny: We all got it coming, kid.

I've got a book on making your own blackpowder, but I've never cared enough to give it a try or blow myself up trying

As kids we made black powder out of charcoal and sulphur and saltpeter that we could buy at the corner drug store. It was pretty crude but went “boom” in our homemade fireworks.
