I put in for Unimak with Rod Schuh. If I draw I will have to go back to work to afford the hunt. I had the license from last year's moose hunt so said what the hell. Can a guy hope to draw and not draw at the same time?

No but I'm kinda relieved. Got plenty of registration hunts to do this fall.

A non-res friend drew a 17A moose tag, which is a registration hunt for me, so off to Dillingham we go....it'll be fun despite the rain and bugs. Always the chance for a decent bear to make an appearance too.

That’s a good one, have hunted it both spring and fall.

Hey Mr. Ptarmigan! Congrats on your tag and I figure odds are pretty damned good we can arrange for a meal and a few drinks in town. I'd like that very much and will definitely be in touch as the season approaches.

Good deal for those who got lucky, and sorry that some have the passion and means and skills to get on the hunt trail, but miss out due to things beyond their control. We've all been there, and it's not a pleasant feeling.
