Anybody chrono'd any of the Hornady loads?Do they actually get close to published speeds?
I don't know but I'm hearing stories about blown primers with that ammo.

Will you be as kind to tell us those stories in detail?
Their 308 150 gr is advertised at 3000 fps with 24" barrel. My 22" 308 averaged 2962fps for 3 shots.

Their 165 gr 30-06 is advertised at 2960 fps from a 24" barrel. My 22" 30-06 averaged 2857fps.

No signs of over pressure. Accuracy is around 1 MOA for the 308. Not so good for the 30-06 in my rifles anyway.

Hornady claims there is no increase in recoil because the powder burns much more efficiently. I do not notice anymore recoil than standard loads.
Edited to Add: Correction, the below are light magnum loads, not the new Superformance ammo asked about in the post title. My error.

30-06 Hornady 165 IB, Remington 700 Ti factory barrel, April 24-2008, 2,953 fps average. Hornady Lot # not recorded
Primers well cratered.

Hornady lists it at 3,015fps in a 24" barrel.

August 8-27-2007 same rifle and load, 2,932 fps.
Hornady lot # 3070056, primers well cratered.

Thougth I had some 270 win data, but can't find it, might have never tried it.

You must be recording velocities from the "Light Magnum" ammo. Hornady just introduced the "Superformance" ammo in 2010.
JMR,

Thanks, you're correct, I read too fast.
Above post edited.
I have only tried one "flavor" of Superformance ammo so far: the 257 Robts with the 117 gr bullet. Fired in my 22" Kimber I got 2916 fps vs. the box claim of 2945 fps. Only off 29 fps.

This is smokin' fast compared to any other factory ammo in this cartridge in my rifle. The Win +P 117 gr load gave me 2698 fps vs. the claimed 2780, off 82 fps. The standard Rem 117 gr load gave me 2644 fps vs. the claimed 2650, off 6 fps.

That's 272 fps faster than the standard load and 218 fps faster than the Win Plus-P load.

The fired Superformance cases extracted normally and the primers looked normal.

In my particular rifle the accuracy of this load was only fair and was easily beaten by the slower factory loads and my handloads which also get about 2900 fps with 115-117 gr bullets.

As far as factory loads go in 257 Robts, the Superformance ammo is living up to its velocity claims.
#1, see my post about the Superformance ammo and my limited test.

Hope that helps.
